Admission was reasonable for a museum wonderful interesting items on display. Museum was easy to go to once you are able to navigate the city streets everything is in reasonable distance of each other.

I love walking the grounds of Bush Park, so full of majestic trees and filled with lively squirrels. The museum is at the entrance of the park at one end. It holds alot of art from many artists and most of the displays are unique. Most of the art is for sale and at a good price. I always make it a point to visit before my walk as there is much to see. The staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have of the museum or park.

The Bush House Museum is an authentically maintained home that reflects the innovations of the day and of its owner Asahel Bush, one of Salem's leading entrepreneurs. The house has been beautifully maintained and contain items that belonged to the Bush family. Surrounding the home are rose gardens and paths to walk through Bush Pasture Park. A lovely outing for families, couples, or those with an independent spirit.

I did the tour with my girlfriend last August. The house was beautiful, the tour informative, and the rose garden absolutely delightful. Great experience.

The Bush House Museum is a nice little historic house that offers those who visit a look into the history of the Bush Family and the Park. The best part of Museum, in my mind is the Bush Barn Art Center. There are three galleries in the behind the house that house rotating exhibits. It is home to the Salem Art Association and they have a wonderful gift gallery filled with works of art by local and regional artists. The art is varied and it is my favorite place town to purchase gifts when I do not have time to make them myself. It is a great place to introduce children to an art exhibit, large enough to have many interesting things to see, but not too large or over imposing. If you are in Salem in Mid July, the Salem Art Festival, hosted by the Art Association is always a wonderful family experience with plays on several stages, a food court, activities for children in the kids tent, a beer garden, and of course the star of the show, art for sale and a treat for the eyes.

This 11,000 sq ft home is absolutely lovely. Because the home was occupied by just one family, the home and contents are in amazing condition. The docent was knowledgeable and passionate about the property. We will visit again in June to admire the extensive rose garden.

Very interesting 1878 house in close-to original condition. Interesting tour and history of the house and the Bush family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour yesterday. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The home itself is a reflection back in time to see how a Banker lived. Great history. $5,000 to build the 10,000 sq. ft. Home. A "Must See" while in Salem. The tour guide was excellent and he knew a lot about the home and grounds. He was very gracious too.

Beautiful house and well furnished in period style. I could get lost in there. The front steps are a bit much for some of us but once you get in, it's well worth it. My only complaint and the reason I don't give it 5 stars was the surliness of the docent showing us around.

This beautifully preserved old house gives visitors a glimpse of history in fine detail. An adjacent conservatory, park, and art museum make it even more fun to visit.

The Bush house has been in Salem many years. It is always a good place to go when we have guests. Just to visit the home, and get a small taste of what life was like "back then:.

Nicely kept house by lots of dedicated volunteers. I would have loved to live here, but would have needed live in help to keep thai gran house clean.

This is a little visited treasure in Salem. This historic home is well preserved and maintained. The docents are knowledgeable and love this home and its stories. The greenhouse and the gardens are true treasures.Stupidly, you have to purchase tickets in the Art Center across the street and that is poorly signed. The people in the Art Center are volunteers who are mostly disinterested in selling tickets, so it was an unpleasant start.

I was a tour guide and paid docent while in college ~ and still love this museum. Each room still feels "lived in", comfortable, like a home. The home and park were given to the City of Salem many decades ago... what treasures they are.
