Tried several Salem wineries on a beautiful sunny day. Christom was the best and their 2012 single vineyards (Louise, Jessie, Eileen) were extremely good. Very California like for me, which is what I have been looking for.

We spent a couple of days touring wineries in the lower Willamette Valley, last week. We did a seated tasting at Cristom. Tasting the wine side by side made selecting what to buy very easy. They also provided a nice selection of cheese, sausage and crackers during our tasting. very knowledgable and attentive staff.

We've been buying Cristom wines on and off for the last 7 years. They consistently make top quality estate wines. It's always one of our first stops when we visit the valley!

Pinot noir here comes in many different bottles. They offer at least five different single vineyard Pinots. Do not over look the very tasty Pinot Gris which I think might be one of the best in Oregon. The staff was great to me and the site is beautiful. The tasting room is nicely appointed and a fun place to be.

Went here with my family of 8. The personnel were wonderfully attentive, knowledgable and generous. It's a beautiful location. the wine was excellent and quite varied (am looking forward to the delivery of the mixed case I ordered).

Went here on a recommendation - small family winery and the craft is just coming along. Tasted a couple and found them not up to scratch at all, yet the pricing was high. Needs work.

Some tasting rooms are simple, others are high tech, this one is just elegant. A fitting tribute to the nice wines made here, we left with some Pinot Gris to pack into the check-in luggage. It was too rainy that day for a picnic, but I'd rather be in Oregon wine country in the rain than on a sweltering NY street in the summer! Fee mentioned is a tasting fee only, but as is the norm with most wineries in the area, refunded with a modest purchase.

Cristom Vineyards is a beautiful place. I was on a hunt for great Oregon Pinot Noirs to send to a cousin back east who wanted a good pinot from Oregon. Cristom has wonderful pinot noirs. We were the only ones in the tasting room that day so we learned a lot about Cristom from the gal pouring the generous tastes. There is a lot of history at Cristom, not to mention the fabulous views. On our drive to the vineyard we were following our GPS when the GPS instructed us to board a ferry and go across the river. We thought that couldn't be right, so we called the vineyard to ask about these strange instructions. She said yes, get on the ferry, if we wanted to. If not we would have to go back the (long) way we had already come, go into Salem (fighting traffic), go west out of Salem to the vineyard. She said it was shorter to cross on the ferry. We decided to forge ahead since we had come this far. The ferry takes no more than six cars at a time and the crossing takes about five minutes. The drive going this way is absolutely beautiful; and it beats the traffic going the other way. It was an unexpected part of our drive, but it added to the overall wonderful experience we had at Cristom. I purchased many (many!) bottles of pinot. Not all of them, however, will be sent to my cousin! Cristom is well worth a visit whichever way you go.

We stopped by Cristom to do a wine tasting. They had several clients from a tour they were finishing up with, but we were acknowledged and we waited as the young lady said she was so sorry the counter was a mess from the previous tasting. We had read while we we were waiting that the vineyard is named for the owners two children. The young lady introduced herself as Cristine. She is the first half of Cristom. Her brothers' name is Tom. She was a delightful young lady and told us about her rich family history with the vineyard. She was very informative about all of their wines as she poured their very wonderful pinot Gris and pinto noir. It was a delightful experience. I would recommend this vineyard and their wines to all wine lovers.!!

My member of my family held a wedding here this past weekend. Beautiful setting with rolling vineyards and beautiful wheat fields. The drive to get there was worth it all by itself as we wound through lush farmlands. The winery and tasting room are nestled in beautifully manicured flower gardens that are accessible by wandering pathways. They have a perfect set up for the wedding in their tank room with their big doors rolled up to reveal the vineyards. We met with Tom Cristom and his new bride. Tom and crew went out of their way to make this a successful event. The staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Of course we got to taste their fine wines. My husband being a member of a multi generational grapegrowing/winery owning family in Sonoma County CA, enjoyed comparing notes and discussing production with Tom and Andy. The bride and groom were granted all their wishes with the help of Tom and crew and it couldn't have been more beautiful!

Cristom is a beautiful vineyard nestled in the Willamette Valley, near the state capital of Salem, Oregon.Pinot Noirs are their specialty but there are other offerings as well. All are worthy of the excellent reviews they have received, .The staff in the tasting room are personable and knowlegeable about the wines. It was a delight to visit with them, We plan to return when we travel again to the Pacific NW.Visit their website, and review their 32 page booklet to gain more insight into Cristom Vlneyard's history, and the story of their wines.

Cristom is worth a stop on an Oregon wine tour. The wines are rich and locally grown. The staff in the tasting room know the area and know their wines. The setting is pretty (though, perhaps, not as stunning as some of the other wineries we visited).
