The staff is helpful but more importantly they have their technology in place so you can search for books, place hold and collect. I suppose that many or most library's do this now but it is so much better than the aimless wander I used to do before online access.

The Ashland Library is part of the Jackson County system. I love being able to find books online and pick them up soon afterward. I love getting email or telephone reminders of due dates and anything else you ask of the system. You can now download books online and more. The library staff is always great. They are helpful, present, available and knowledgeable.

...right here in Ashland. Books, movies, periodicals, more. Whether you're rushing in to pick up films and books ordered online or dropping by to warm up and chill out in a comfy chair with a good book,this library is sweet!

This place has lots of helpful people, many periodicals past and present, a great children's section and librarians, and many, many books! This is not mentioning the oodles of computers. Too bad so many homeless--young and older--find the computer area "home" too.

I love sitting in the comfy stuffed chairs with huge windows looking out on the blvd. Great community place. Pretty good mag selection. Always friendly staff.

Yes, my husband had it with the heat wave, went to the library, and fell asleep for 2 hours. No one bothered him and he emerged refreshed and with a stack of magazines to browse later. One of those "only on vacation" moments.

Even when traveling I like to go to libraries, sometimes to browse their shelves, sometimes just looking for a quiet spot to read.This library has a wonderful reading area that looks out on the beautiful valley. Can't beat the scenery!

Very friendly staff; super for an hour's time on the Internet (when you have your library card); and great place to relax and read when you need a break from all of the Festival's Green Shows and Theatre.

The Ashland branch of the Jackson County Library system is a perfect combination of old and new. The old library stands guard over the new addition.

It is what I would expect in a library. They have a nice children"s section and reading time, and I had come to Ashland to take care of my 3 year old granddaughter, so it was a great resource.

This library brings back memories of my youth! The sights, the smells,etc. The physical location is incredible. You can grab a newspaper or magazine or a book and sit in one of the comfortable chairs overlooking the mountains. What a peaceful, serene place to read and think. The librarians are very helpful. They even have computers that you can use. GREAT PLACE...

When you've shopped and already attended a play today, consider a stop at the Ashland Library. The old Carnegie Library is now a nice children's section, and the newer addition is a great place to use a computer or sit and read magazines near the windows. A great quiet stop and one I always make when I am in town visiting family.

This a quaint city library with plenty of current and popular material. The view from the second floor is the perfect backdrop for a lazy afternoon read-fest. The children's section is upbeat and often has little activities for the kids.Friendly people too.
