Welcoming ranger at the entrance. Beautiful state park that was well kept. Worth another trip to it when it is not raining.
great place to have an outdoor bbq in the park! bonus is the pool for the kids to pay in! Gotta love that this place is clean and this whole town is free from ghetto bay area people! no ghetto park here!
This is a beautiful, well-maintained park. Big trees, lush lawns, springs furnishing water to a wading pool, fruit trees and grape vines, great picnic facilities and restrooms. I'd almost buy a trailer so I could stay here, and I'll definitely come back with grandchildren to picnic.
Nothing that special really nothing to see it's a waste of time. They advertise it good but when you go there it's nothing like what they advertised.
This was our second year of several couples that take our RV's and stay up to 4 days at the campground, for the 'Park to Park Pedal'. We enjoy the park, we have picnics up at the formal park. It is beautiful, scenic, and the full moon rising over the hill is fantastic. The fall leaf colors are great. We play horseshoes almost daily. The campground has no hookups, we use their bathrooms and showers so we don't have to empty our holding tanks. The campground is newer, so the trees are still small. The people that run the park are very helpful and friendly.
Unexpected and beautiful little park. Lovely roses and wild grapevines minggle withsmall streams. Well maintained picnic and barbeque area.
There is a campsite at the park, which probably accounts for the small open-air swimming pool; I think there is also a children's play area.I went with the aim of getting some good landscape photos, but I was very disappointed with what I could see.I see no point in anybody going to this park with the aim of seeing magnificent countryside.
This park is about 2 miles outside town and we found it by accident. It is a day use but is a mini Catheral Gorge and just spectecular. There is a grassy , picnic area at the end of the park. A great place to spend the day
Kershaw -Ryan state park is a short drive from Caliente, Nevada. This park has been affected by flooding a few times in the past but all the picnic areas etc have been reconstructed. This state park offers so much more and is quite different to most that we have visited. There are a couple of 'group areas' which can be booked. There is a waterfall, complete with fish at the base of it, a children's playground and we are presuming in the summer months, a wading pool. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the restrooms and BBQ s spotless. There are a couple of relatively easy walking trails for the more adventurous. This would be a perfect location for a wedding! Just beautiful. It costs $7 per car to enter the park but this cost also permits entry to the Beaver Dam and Cathedral Gorge state parks. There is also a dry camping area at the entrance to the park.
This is a very neat park. I visit it annually for a bicycle event. We start and end the ride from this park. We eat at the campgrounds and the accommodations are clean. I don't camp, but I do like this park.
Piep klein State Park meer eenklein park zoals we t in Europa gewend zijn. Eaa aangelegd dus niet als andere State Parks natuurlijk. Kleine open rustige camping.
