I had an opportunity to book a private tour while in Henderson to the habitat and I would do it again. To see how the MGM lions are being cared for and the anscerty is being preserved is wonderful. The lions are treated kindly and show much love for their handlers. This is a must do for any cat lover!

Big cats, especially lions are my favorite animals so I really enjoyed seeing all of the magnificent lions. The lions appear to be happy, healthy, and loved! All of the lions are spectacular, especially Bentley & Metro who have the cutest personalities! One of the County Commisioners is trying to shut the Lion Habitat down because they have 48 animals and the permit allows 40 animals. If he gets his way, I don't know what he plans on doing with all of the lions??? Why take them away from their home???

This is a good place for a couple hours to see lots and lots of lions up close. I wish they had more space to roam as there was some pacing going on. They look healthy and well fed. It's a short drive from the strip and worth the visit. They even have a baby giraffe and ostriches.

The lion habitat ranch is an opportunity to see animals up close. They are all beautiful and well cared for. There was a 20 week old baby that was playing with a handler that was precious! We loved the experience!!

Highly recommend, clean and you will never see animals cleaner and closer. Both my adult children and grand daughter 2 years old loved it. Trainers are friendly and knowledgeable.

We visited the Lion habitat on a Friday morning. The staff could not be more accommodating, they answered every question we had and more. We were lucky to be staying at the South Point Casino which is only a ten minute drive away. We will be recommending the attraction to friends in the uk. 44 Lions one cub a Girrafe Parrots etc. all well looked after.

I'm someone who really loves animal encounters, and was excited to see this lion sanctuary. The fees are very reasonable, and there are a lot of animals on a fairly small property on the Henderson/Las Vegas line. It's cool to see all the lions. There are a huge number of them (50-ish?) and you can see a variety of personalities from interactive to grouchy to napping. The facility itself is enough to give you pause. The lions are in large areas that are pretty barren and surrounded by high fences. There's no grass and it doesn't have a "natural" feel, so you start to feel somewhat like a jerk for staring at these poor caged lions. Having seen them in the wild in Africa, knowing how much space they take and what their more natural environment looks like, I would simply add that I hope the owners are able to upgrade the facility. This is interesting for animal lovers and families with kids.

We weren't doing anything one day and I had heard about the Lion Habitat online. We decided to take a drive out. I'm so glad we did! Such beautiful lions. I am a bit cat person and I couldn't get over these large cats. The area was so nicely maintained and clean looking. I seriously could have stayed here all day but my husband had to finally drag me out. I was so enamoured with the first large cat, Bentley, that we came up to. So gorgeous but almost demands your respect at the same time. I took so many photos of the little cub that was there too. It's a good thing that I live on the east coast because if I lived in NV, I would be at this place all the time! God Bless the folks there for doing the work that they do.

Drove all the way out there only to find it closed. It had rained three days earlier and they were still closed due to rain, very disappointing. Also road construction is blocking the road my GPS had me on, you need to find your way around the construction.

The Lion Habitat is a small facility that is petitioning to become a zoo. As the name implies the main attraction are the lions though there are a few birds and an eight month old giraffe. Once my husband and I arrived, I thought the interaction with the lion cub would be neat even at $200. The place has large chained linked fenced pens. With my 300mm lens I was able to shoot and capture a few decent close ups as long as the lion was far enough away. There was also a baby giraffe, Ozzie that could be fed lettuce for a fee of $20. As far as the lion cub, we did learn his story. He was one of four cubs born. The female had rejected the entire litter. A short while later three of the four died from a bacterial infection. The survivor, Angel, is being raised by the trainer. He was with Angel 24/7 and would continue doing that for a few more months before some of the other assistant trainers could assist. Even though we hung around, the trainer didn’t feel the lion cub was up to it, but I did get some great pics. If you’re feeling very adventurous you can always “train” the lions for $800.

We are locals and decided to visit on a whim. It completely exceeded our expectations. We were just feet away from numerous lions and everyone who worked there was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The kids had a great time and were amazed when the 13 week old lion cub was brought out to play with the facility owner. We sat for thirty minutes just watching the baby play! The giraffe and ostriches were a great addition, but we were there for the lions and did not leave disappointed. It was a great family outing that we are recommending to all of our friends.

The Lions of MGM are no longer on the Vegas Strip but at the Lion Habitat ranch and are makingtheir own contribution to the attractions of the Las Vegas lifestyles.A dedicated staff enable theseroyal animals to live twice as long as in the wild and their every need is catered for.You should see how much they eat! Quarter pounders come in 7 lb servings!The habitat is both protected and charitable with the latest addition being a 7 month old Giraffe saved and absolutely not on the food chain or menu.Do not miss it.

This is a cool place. They have rescued lions from other zoos - like the Las Vegas Zoo which we didn't even know ever existed - and lots of birds too. There are older lions and younger lions and even an adorable lion cub. There are lots of Macaws scattered about and they have acquired a baby giraffe. They're currently building him his own enclosure and are planning on getting him a girlfriend, so expect some more giraffes. Unfortunately this place is really hard to find. The city made them take down their sign by Las Vegas Blvd - imagine Vegas/Henderson forcing someone to take down a sign! So, go and say hello to the cats (and emus and ostriches and macaws). There is a fee, but it is a non-profit, so they need the money.

This place is a MUST visit. They used to be at the MGM before they removed their lion habitat in the hotel. If you used to see them at the MGM and miss them, you have to check this place out. You can tell the people love these animals. They recently took in a young giraffe so be sure to look for him. A great place to see these wonderful animals.

My friend and I had seen the lions at the MGM hotel habitiat on previous visits to Las Vegas so when they closed the exhibit we thought we would go to see how they are all doing. Well the answer to that is ... very well! You can see that all the staff absolutely love the big cats (and the other animals including a gorgeous baby giraffe) and that they are so well looked after. We were lucky enough to see 9 week old Angel who is being hand reared (so cute) and were witness to a chorus of the male lions roaring - you really can feel it all the way down to your bones. The entry fee is so cheap we also left a donation in the box by the gate. Give the Lion Habitiat a visit if you love big cats, you won't regret it.
