lake piru

We did just a short day trip from Valencia during the off season. Lake was very low and many areas closed. Nice area to bike and we saw lots and lots of deer. Looked like a good camping area to come back to. Most sites had shade,tables and fire pits. Dogs allowed but lots of rules for them so watch out. Summer would be fun I think.

Our best advice after driving all the way out there: Don't bother going there if you plan to have some fun with your dog. You are charged per dog at the gate, and they basically aren't allowed to go anywhere. They aren't allowed in the water, or on the beach, so we left. What harm is there in designating a small area of the beach for people with pets so that they can swim and have fun with their families??? Overall, very disappointing for us.
