We made it part of a day's adventure in Santa Cruz. The tour is short-ish but lots of fun. If you easily suffer fro nausea be warned that you may get it bad. The parking is rough too so make sure to get an advance reservation and get there a little early.

We made a day tip from San Jose to sana Cruz, and stopped off at mystery spot. It's a really cool place. We arrived Santa Cruz board walk by 11am. Had lunch, then played at arcade. Mystery spot is 25 min way from the board walk. Our family had a great time. The tour guide Tanner was really funny. The snacks and gift shop items are really nice as well. highly recommended if you are in Santa Cruz!!

Life needs a little MysteryMystery Spot is located in a small valley surrounded by Redwoods and Eucalyptus trees some 7km from Santa Cruz. While the house on the hill leans a lot, and compasses on iPhones move mysteriously, our guide Mo entertained us with a little history, some interesting optical illusions and some truly mysterious observations that seemed to defy explanation. For an entry fee of $6 per person, and a parking fee of $5, you get an entertaining hour or so in very pleasant surroundings, with some nature walks in the valley as an added bonus. There is a small gift shop, the café was closed when we visited, facilities are clean and located near the gift shop.If you are passing through the Santa Cruz area make an effort to visit the Mystery Spot, it's good value.

Defiantly make a reservation online I noticed they were sold out and was happy we had tickets with us. Great price for tour and our tour guide was great. Way there began to wonder if we were on the right path until finally seeing the sign. Only thing I could complain was tour size made it hard to take pictures in shack waiting for all others to be done then hear it's time to move to next demonstration .

I wasn't really sure I wanted to go, but my partner wanted to so......off we went. I've seen the bumper stickers often, so I was a little curious. It was interesting and entertaining. Our guide was humorous and made the tour fun. It's not an easy place to explain, I would just suggest going and seeing for yourself. It's not expensive....$6 per person and $5 to park. It's definitely worth seeing at least once. You can go online and make a reservation, I would recommend doing that if you know for sure what time you want to go. We weren't sure so we just showed up and had to be put on a waiting list. Luckily we were able to get on a tour pretty quickly.

I was a little sceptical before our visit, I didn't really know what to expect but driving away I thought it was well worth it!Our guide was brilliant, very welcoming, funny and entertaining. It is a hard experience to explain, you just have to visit to experience it for yourself!

I had known about the mystery spot for years but someone only went for my first visit recently and boy was it a fun tour! Nestled away in redwoods the Mystery spot is actually a cabin that due it's sloped angle ( the cabin slid from its spot up the hill and was stopped in the middle by redwoods) causing the cabin to lean at an angle that makes you feel like there's a gravity pull and everything looks like its leaning or that gravity is going upwards ! Great fun for families, kids or just a couple looking for a fun 20-30 minutes of exploration and very funny tour guides ! Our tour guide was Josh and he was totally hilarious and show us how to do some of the awesome leaning side way tricks! You won't regret it . Costs about 25$ for two with parking. Parking is on site an you pay when you get to the admission desk for tickets. You can also reserve your tickets ahead of time by calling in. Hope you enjoy the mystery spot and the beautiful trees surrounding it.

I have seen the bumper stickers all around that say mystery spot. We were looking for fun things to do in the Santa Cruz area on a day we took some Spanish and French kids sightseeing. This place was the highlight of the trip that day. A wierd anomaly that creates a strange sort of gravitational pull where water appears to run uphill and tall people look shorter on one side of the spot than the other. It's hard to really describe it, you need to experience it for yourself. It is a quick tour that is really informative and interesting. I was nauseated inside the mystery spot, which aparantly is not unusual. Go see it for yourself. It IS really cool and got the thumbs up from the 8 teenagers we had with us.

The road up is not the best but the experience was interesting. Great value. Spent about an hour there. Worth the trip!

Complete worth the money, the Mystery Spot takes you through a fascinating scientific phenomenon. The experiments they have set up to demonstrate the supposed tilt in gravity are well-crafted, and the guides make sure you remain entertained.

I'm in in college, I took my parents here. They really enjoyed the tour and the guide's demonstrations. It was overall an awesome experience I just feel it was a bit short. I wish we could have had more time in the cabin (I didn't get to go the first room again with so many people on this tour). But as I said, it's cheap ($6) so it was a good experience.

I was totally taken but in a good way. It's a beautiful setting right in the middle of redwood trees. Totally entertaining. Josh our guide was funny and awesome. I recommend.

Located in the Santa Cruz mountains area down a windy road. One can lose reception while mapping to this tourist spot. Reservation times are encouraged due to year round popularity and little parking. The area is tight within the adjoining mountains. One purchases tickets in the gift shop for times. Guided tours insure people are running in orderly fashion. Guide explains the phenomenon that is interesting to most. The guide we had was entertaining. This is a good half hour of your day and nothing more. Good: intriguing science at work here. Bad: too rushed to really take pictures or just observe for a tad bit. Okay tourist spot.

Very interesting little spot. Gets you thinking. Very local. Great guide. Only $6. Worth a visit :-)

I went here when I was 3 years old and decided to check it out as an adult. It's a place where gravity and perspective are all whacky. It's fun and definitely a great place to take family and visitors. If you have vertigo, don't go. There are intense G-forces at work and it can make you dizzy. But I am glad I went, it's definitely something you can't explain, even after all the optical illusions.
