科罗拉多的沙滩不算大,但真的很漂亮,沙子很细,踩上去很舒服,沙滩后面是美国著名的科罗拉多大酒店。呆在这里也许真的能忘记一切的烦恼与忧愁。
What a great place to visit. We were absolutely amazed at just how beautiful this beach is. The beach itself is huge - plenty of room for everyone on a sunny day. The water was fairly warm for this time of year so wading out a ways was really nice. The thing that really took my breath away was how the sand and water "sparkled". Literally!!! The water has gold flecks in it as the tide rolls in. When it recedes it leaves little gold flecks in the sand. This sounds kind of crazy but it's true. You can walk for what seems like miles and still have pristine sand and surf. If you are a shell person there are numerous types to be found here. My only regret is that we visited as a "stop over". Next time I intend to spend at least half a day here - it was so relaxing and for me it represented everything I envisioned a laid back California beach to be.
Great walk with wife's sister and familySuch great views of the DelBeautiful homes overlock oceanVery clean and friendly life guardsHard to park but be patient Enjoy
I loved visiting this beach - It wasn't terribly crowded, and the sunset view is gorgeous! Bonus: The mica in the sand makes the beach literally sparkle.
For sand and surf play, Coronado Municipal Beach is one of my favorite. We have come here just for the day or we have stayed close by at Hotel Del Coronado and enjoyed several days in a row at this delightful beach.Sunset time is also magic and so beautiful. We have been here on very busy week-ends like Fourth of July (still a lot of fun) or less busy winter days (which is also so fun). In short, any day of the year is a good time for Coronado Municipal Beach.
Coronado has this one large beach on the ocean side of the island. It's pretty and well maintained. The bay side of the island has very little beaches with sand. We loved this island and will visit again.
I was very impressed by this beach. It was super clean and peaceful. It makes for a great getaway if you're looking to relax and not have to fight for a spot on the sand. Very easy to get to and the houses are ones to admire along the walk there.
We've been to Coronado Beach twice and both times, we had great experiences. It's a huge beach with plenty of space to go for long walks. The waves are huge towards the end of the day, which makes for some great bodysurfing! The sunsets are just beautiful, so don't leave too early and miss out! If you have time, you have to check out The Del Coronado Hotel, which is right on the beach. Stunning hotel!
The beaches in this area are the most foul in San Diego and in my opinion in all of California! The parking can be a little difficult in the summer but it's worth a walk.
Very nice beach with lovely and amazing sunset ..Beach walk is fantastic and make you feel fresh in a quite place..Romantic as well I think its the best in San Diego
The best part about this beach is the very western most stretch of it. Just before the restricted area of the naval base you will find a dog beach where your pet can run without leash and romp in the water. It is clean and delightful to walk with the happy animals and enjoy their play. Free parking is a plus. Wide sands with plenty of space to put out a blanket and umbrella and just watch the pooches fetch, prance and splash in the waves.
More than likely anyone looking to come to Coronado for the first time has done a bit of on-line research or heard from friends who have been here before. Common knowledge is the fact that the sand dunes immediately north of the Hotel Del spell out "CORONADO." Ariel photos really make it clear, but even glimpsing the dunes from the rock wall above will allow one to gain an appreciation for the work that goes into this unique feature of a treasured beach. It's definitely worth checking out.The sand on Coronado's beach is quite fine and soft. It's also a wide beach. I'm guessing it's about 200 yards from the street to the water. I love that because it allows plenty of room on a crowded day. The main bathroom and shower building is at Center Beach - the tall lifeguard tower. Beach ready wheelchairs (read: nice big tires) are available for free use at the tower.I suggest hitting Park Place Liquor and Deli (https://www.facebook.com/parkplaceliquor?rf=125219807558537) for a Big Kahuna Sandwich and drinks (no alcohol allowed on the beach), a chair and a good book. Enjoy the day!
Long stretch of fine sand beach that goes on forever. Easy parking and access. Best place to view the sunset with nearby restaurants, the grand dame of Hotel Del Coronado in the back drop.Very romantic. Fairly clean for a public beach. Fun for all ages. All this for FREE!
This is the widest beach I've ever experienced! And it is well groomed and resonably clean considering its vast width and length. The surf was fine for beginner surfers and the skies were entertaining with helicopters passing by.
White sand, broad vistas, and plenty of sun n surf will greet dudes and dudettes of all ages. Bring your own umbrella for shade.
