First off just want to say it's not a bad review. Just that it was an average winery. I wasn't blown away with any wines. The owner wine maker was there pouring the wine. The best wine he had was the Petite Verdot.
We have been to Sevtap about 10 times total now. We love the proprietor, Art. He is knowledgeable, witty, funny and is absolutely entertaining. We love the he has added music nights, trivia nights and live music to his busier nights. Come for the wine and listen to his stories, you won't be disappointed!
Just lovely wines that can lay down for years. The only thing I don't like is the winetasting fee is not refunded upon purchase of wines, which are a bit pricey. But having said that, he is a small vintner and I understand. I am all in favor of supporting small businesses! I will definitely go back the next time I visit Solvang. :)
The wine is great, the vitner is friendly and knowledgeable and the location is perfect right off the main drag.
Sevtap, is a funky lively wine tasting room in Solvang where the wine maker is serving you the wine. He is witty and funny. The wines are great and live music makes it hard to leave. WIll be stopping by here on future visits.
We arrived into town late (for Solvang time) and were lucky enough to find this place open. We spent the rest of our evening here chatting it up with Art, who loves what he does. He has a passion for wine and it shows. The wines taste great, the atmosphere is friendly, what more could you ask for?
Welcoming,kick-back, artsy ambience with great people...Tamara & Art always offer fun, friendly conversation. Trivia night Saturdays are always a blast... Hope they offer swing dance lessons soon:)
Sevtap is a fun place to hang out as well as enjoying sipping on a unique variety of wines. The live music on Saturdays adds to the colorful atmosphere of art, prayer flags and good vibes. This not a pretentious wine bar! The owner/winemaker, Art, serves up the wine himself as he explains each pouring. It's a great space to bring a group of friends or a date.
Casual but classy. Art is an amazing host and loves what he's doing. It shows in his great attitude. Love the atmosphere and the wines are SOOOOO delicious!
By far our most favorite spot in Solvang. Art's passion for his craft is displayed in his various bottles of amazing wines. We love this place.
Hubby and I stopped in here on one of our first wine tasting adventures. We loved the wine and the winemaker (Art). They have live music weekly and are dog friendly, a huge plus for us. We'll be back to Sevtap soon!
Stopping by the Sevtap Winery was one of the most exciting things we did in Solvang. It was right next door to our motel and the owner was a hoot. He is from Turkey and my wife and I had a wonderful time talking to him and tasting his wines (which are fabulous), we bought two bottles to bring back home. If you get a chance, stop by and say hi and also taste some, wine you won't regret it!
This is hidden away, but ask anyone in town and they'll be able to point you in the right direction. When you get there you'll in for a very pleasant experience, fun people, occasional live music, and they serve up remarkable award winning wines! If your in Solvang tasting wines, SEVTAP is a must stop!
Enjoyed a low key trivia game while drinking delicious wine! Always make a point to stop by when I'm in Solvang since the man pouring the vino is the vintner. Thanks, Ertugral!
My husband and I love to go wine tasting so we travel up to Solvang regularly and surrounding area since it's a quick weekend get away from LA. We've gotten some good experience under our belt as far as tasting rooms go- having also gone tasting in Napa, Paso Robles and Willamette Valley but I haven't enjoyed a tasting room better than I do Sevtap. If you try any tasting rooms in Solvang, Sevtap must be on your list. I promise you won't regret it. The wines are solid and every time is a different experience. The owner, who is regularly pouring, makes you feel like family. His enthusiasm for life shows up in his wine making. There is also music on certain nights, which is nice and the chalkboard walls provide a unique way for visitors to leave their creative mark behind.
