point lobos state reserve

这是第一次造访Pt. Lobos,我们在佛罗里达住了二十多年,其实两个地方的距离并不远。真遗憾自己没能早点来,错失了这么多美好的时光。这儿好美。太平洋上一处广阔的保留区。开着车一路到处观光,还自带了野餐(建议大家也带点食物)。沿着铁路远足,和老朋友一起出来玩就是开心。极力推荐。

我丈夫和我尝试了一个清晨远行。我们从罗伯斯角开始顺着路线远行,我们非常享受沿途的美景。我们可以看见海景还有海狮。唯一的不足就是清晨有些大雾遮眼,有点看不清,但是千万不要错过在卡麦尔的这个美景!

在卡梅尔期间我们被告知这的天气阴晴不定!我并不这么认为。我们的徒步旅行非常美好。景色很壮观。太阳下斑海豹伴着海藻懒散的躺在岩石上,海岸线地带给我们留下了无法忘记的回忆。不要错过这样的徒步旅行......

当你去到罗伯士角(Point Lobos),你会看到从世界各地尤其是欧洲和亚洲来到这里的人们。这真是一件盛事。最北部的海洋生态系统与最南端壮观海岸的交汇的奇景。

我几乎一年就要去一次加迈尔,然后每次都会去罗伯士角。在这儿能找到欣赏太平洋的广阔视角。这儿真的很美,到处都是小鸟和野生动物。离加迈尔很近,在清晨能感受到野外的清新气息。最好在游客来之前去。喜欢。

This is a beautiful park with gorgeous views, waterfalls, wildflowers, great hiking trails with easy to medium difficulty. There was a shortage of parking when we arrived on Sat. morning but I highly recommend not to miss this park if you are in the area.

The views are spectacular. Trails are well marked. As a photographer, I was disappointed that wandering off the trails is prohibited. This made it impractical to set up a tripod (unless you want to annoy your fellow visitors). Garrapata State Park just down the road is a better choice if you are a photographer, and it is free unlike Point Lobos ($10 fee).

I would not miss this attraction. A lot of marked paths to walk on to see different views of the ocean and mountains. Very safe and easy walking.

Full of the most amazing views, feel the sea breeze and this unforgettable scent of the sea plus the aromatic plants that surround the park. Nurture your spirit by walking through the trails!

We went to see whales, but they were not present this day. But dolphins, sea utters and sea-lions were there and showed up many times. All from land and very easy accessible by car

Saw sea lions and migrating grey whales. Great walks and hikes along gorgeous coastline. Perfect afternoon. Trails for all skill levels. This state park is highly recommended.

Be sure to take your camera and a tripod. And, bundle up if the wind and fog are around....which is just about any afternoon from 3pm to midnight. If you are blessed with sun, be sure to stay for the sunset. The colors will be stunning.

Our daughter, a MBCSU grad, raved about Point Lobos. We thought we go and see what that was all about. She was justified in her comments to inth!We took a lunch in and, at the suggestion of the ranger, went all the way to the Bird Island parking lot and picnic area. It's one of the very few places designated for eating. Our view was of the beautiful coastline, interspersed with aviary delights and the sighting of a whale or two. Following lunch we walked out to the island, enjoying sea lion sighting, beautiful foliage and 72 degree, windless, Pacific coast weather. An easy walk, with minimal elevations it's accessible for all. The only fee is to drive into the park. We are certain to return!!!

Wonderful trails to explore . We were fortunate enough that at very large colony of sea lions from Southern California (Baja?) had migrated here a few weeks earlier due to lack of food . The volunteer docents were very knowledgeable and helpful In explaining the situation with pretty powerful monoculars to help one see the sea otters sunning themselves in the kelp beds in the distance. Sadly many of the pups and newborn of the sea lions do not survive due to malnutrition , with the vultures completing the cycle of life! There were also a number of seals to be seen . The "cliff" walks were easy offering beautiful views . Just sitting and admiring the view we saw whales , dolphins and seals frolicking in the distance. Nature in the raw is magnificent!

Like others have said, park outside for free off Highway 1 unless you have kids or want to drive from place to place. Took us about 2.5 hours to go through the whole thing leisurely, no rush as this place takes time to appreciate. We were lucky enough to see some whales, sea lions, and random deer just strolling around. Amazing views, nice bathrooms and benches everywhere along trails. Overall great place and highly recommend it for a good hike for all levels.
