First let me say that it is pure Eastern Washington fun at it's best for families with young children. My kids cannot wait to go there. We started the day in the Corn Maze, where it is an October Fun fest version of the Game Clue where there are clues hidden in the maze that you cross off a map to figure out who Took Farmer John and where. My 6 year old daughter and I challenged my Wife and 8 year old son, and we lost. BUT we did figure out what happen and she was so impressed with herself. Next we headed over to the Apple cannon where once again my wife bested me and shot the apple through the hole to win a dozen doughnuts. The doughnuts are homemade and awesome this time of year because they are pumpkin spice doughnuts, fresh from the maker. They have lunch foods and other little treats that you can buy as well. They also sell Carmel Apples from apples pick from their trees... pretty sweet. They have places where you can take pictures by horses or riding pony's. They have a tractor and hay rides going on. They have a little play ground too. In October, when we go, they have pumpkins and other thing for sale as well as Apples. Plus they have a Apple Cider Stations where you can create your own apple cider. The kids love to make it and drink it because they had a hand in creating it.I am hoping that my kids will want to go for 10 more years with me...We have also been there during the Christmas season and enjoyed it, but October is our favorite time.
We had the most wonderful time! We highly recommend going to one of their many events. It was our second time driving from Idaho and well worth it.
We spent a weekend in Yakima, Washington - and while trying to find things to do, we googled, and found the "Blueberry Daze Festival" at Bill's Berry Farm. When we pulled up in our car, we were almost disappointed, because it looked sooo much smaller than we expected (especially after reading about it online)....turns out that once you pull in and park, there was plenty to see and do (lot of it you can't see from the road, due to trees & bushes)....They had horse and pony rides; you could buy already packaged blueberries, or pick your own (for half the price). There was a small band, and also some vendors, along with good food.
