If you're over 14 you can race, and everyone in our group (except the 9 year old) had a blast! They have a "driving school" for the younger set, but it is a bit expensive and you have to make a reservation. I know the big kids (read adults) kept wanting to race even though it was raining. The track has suits for these occasions since it rains here...a lot. If you're looking for a great place to ride go-karts...avoid the indoor places and race at PGP (their karts are faster, and their track is bigger).
I had been to a couple of go karting places before this and my experience was meh..But today I, my husband and and a couple friends went to PGP. All of us had a really great time. Since it was a cloudy sunday afternoon, we had the entire track to ourselves. Although I was just trying to stay on track for most part, we all had great fun! Each and every person on the staff were great to talk to, very encouraging and friendly. We would love to go again, and with more friends next time around.
Nice track, but expensive and hard to get to race on a walk-in basis, too many special events and partial track closures. Also some requirements for younger drivers (i.e. mandatory class when they have no instructors avaialble?!) Silly stuff, but a good track from a technical/driver's point of view.
I've been to PGP a couple times. Once with friends and once with my girlfriend. Everyone had a blast! It is so much fun rain or shine! When it's wet you can get the karts sideways a bit just remember to bundle up. The wind on your hands can make them cold in a hurry. It's cool to see your lap times versus the other people on the track. Staff is very friendly and helpful, karts are well maintained and they got a bunch of new ones recently. Go check it out! You won't regret it!
Awesome fun with my son and his friends. We were able to race as much as we wanted, of as long as our wallet could support! Lap times are tracked and it is fun to are where technical skill gets breast by power to weight advantage. Open rain or shine, we enjoyed a sunny afternoon and would do so again.
PGP Is the absolute best place to race in the Seattle area. The staff is super nice, the track is amazing and always different, the karts are consistent and fast. There is always someone there to race against, but it's never over crowded like some of the indoor places. They also have really fun events on the weekends like endurance races and leagues.Go racing here, you will NOT regret it.
My experience at PGP was awesome. The facility is in great shape and is very well maintained. Although my toddler had stayed at home with mom, I was surprised to find that they have a very large kids play structure setup at the facility to keep kids busy while you race. The registration office was clean and modern and allowed you to check-in and sign your forms electronically via computers in the lobby. The helmets and other rental gear was extremely clean, which came as a huge surprise compared to other karting facilities. There are picnic tables around the track area for down time. The track itself is in great condition. The cars were very comfortable and very fast. The last thing that impressed me about this facility was the staff. At a lot of karting places the staff are very arrogant or stand-off-ish but the folks working here were helpful, polite, helped you when you needed help, and in general make for a very comfortable and fun experience. I was extremely impressed.
Went with my wife, son and spouse. Had a great time. Two had never ridden karts before, they will again. Staff is very informative and fun.(but serious about there jobs) If you want they have bleachers to sit and watch, but you will want to ride.
If like go-karting or racing this is the place to go. They have an 8/10 of a mile track (only half track on weekends) and run multiple configurations, open rine or shine all year long. They provide all the gear you need to race just show up and race. Its 35$ (25$ for members) for a 15min session in a 9hp birel go-kart. If you want a more they offer league racing or 2hr endurance racing pretty much every weekend. Great staff always friendly and happy to answer any question you might have. You will never want to waste money at K1 or Sykart after you try PGP there is no comparison. I love this place!
The wife and I like to go-kart whenever we can find it in our travels and we found PGP Motorsports on a recent business trip to Kent. The registration is a little cumbersome and somewhat lengthy but made enjoyable by the interaction of office staff. The price is just okay for the actual 15-minutes we spent on the track: $25 for the track time; $10 for insurance and $3 for the black helmet sock (a nylon ski mask-type head covering you get to keep afterwards in case you need to knock over a 7-11 on the way home).Add in some of that fine Washington state tax and the final tab for two was $82.50.After a few minutes of driving instructions by the exceedingly friendly track staff we were off, skimming along three inches above a well-paved half-mile track with a ton of corners and several long straightaways. We were there right after they opened for the day and had the track to ourselves which made it even more enjoyable since we didn't have to worry about other 'motorists'.The 15 minutes on the track did not pass all that quick, to be honest, and we felt it was worth the price when we were finished. The complex also has a 2.5 mile Grand Prix track for Big Boy cars (as well as a drag strip) and we could hear the roar of engines running wide open before backing off for hair-pin corners and such, so after returning our helmets we walked a hundred yards across the grass to the fence surrounding the Grand Prix course. We were in awe as dozens of Porsche', sans muffler, tore past us, just 100 feet away. High-performance Mustangs and several 1930 and 1940 Indy-type race cars added to the roar. It was awesome and we actually spent longer clinging to the fence watching as we did go-karting.It was a fun way to start the day.

What a fun time I had with my son!! Great track, wonderful people that work there, well maintained carts - best cart experience I have ever had!! If you are an enthusiast about driving, you have got to try this!!
These rental go karts are something else! We were told they go 42 mph and I think ours were even faster than that. This is SO MUCH FUN at this track. We have never been to an outdoor track this big before and it was a blast being able to drive on this new huge go-kart track. Our family raced the go karts on a recent Sunday and they were very accommodating and friendly to our kids and entire group. It is a family run business and a place we can't wait to go back to.
