I grew up in Bennettsville and as a native you spend some time there . You can fish , swim , ski , boat , relax , picnic , spend some quiet time just thinking , it's all up to you ! There is also an area called Jack's Island where it has a covered picnic area where you can get together with friends . We did a small class reunion there a few years ago . It also has a walking/jogging path and they have a marathon every year . Lots of memories there . I went fishing there with my Dad and friends , hung out and listened to music and had some beers with friends , and of course watched the submarine races with the girls . Ha ha .

How lucky are us locals to be able to fish, jet ski and swim in the waters of Lake Paul Wallace! More than 600 acres of picture book quality beauty and peaceful serenity right in town.

This is a great place to fish and to go walking. Wonderful place for small boats and enjoying the lake.

Lake Paul Wallace is a very scenic area in Bennettsville! It's located within the city's limits,and generally a place where men, women, and teens go , when they want quiet time, or a time tothink and reflect. The really nice part of your visit is theway the various birds will approach you ,lookingto be fed! Few people actually catch fish in this area, but it is a wonderful place to see the sights,and have delightful conversation with the locals.I grew up in this small town, and know first hand the hospitality of Bennettsville!
