auburn garrett drive in

Went to see Planet of the Apes and the new movie Tammy last night at the drive in. What an awesome night it was. My wife and I paid $16 to get in and see 2 movies. Now that my friends is a serious bargain. We pulled into a row near the back. We usually play Frisbee or hacky sac before the movie. There were plenty of kids up towards the front playing catch and hitting a soccer ball around. The weather could have not been more perfect. There were just a couple of mosquitos, but they were held at bay with some of our spray. I highly recommend this place to everyone on Trip Advisor. A great value and an even better experience. I really hope that this place continues the tradition of the drive in movie theater.

There aren't many drive in theaters left, but this is a classic. They play current movies on a large screen (some drive in's have shrunk the size of their screens to add a second screen, but this place kept the nice, big ones). It's only $8 for adults and $3 for 12 and under to see two movies. The place isn't fancy, no play ground and the bathrooms are dated, but the place is clean and the people are wonderful. The large pop and popcorn are cheap (somewhere like $4.50 each) and there are FREE refills! No other drive in I know of does that!If you're in the area (North of Ft. Wayne, IN) I highly recommend going. I live an hour away and still go as much as possible. Great family fun!
