country heritage winery & vineyards

Stopped in as part of a birthday treat. We had another awesome time. We had the Country Heritage Jolly Juice. Really really good stuff. We also had some of the frozen wines which we like a lot even though it is the middle of the winter right now. We also grabbed a cheese and cracker tray to go with the wine. This place is so great I recommend it to everyone.

My husband and I have visited this winery several times, but the most recent was with a few other couples. We went on a Friday night to listen to a local man jamming on his guitar while we sat at a table in a beautifully decorated room sipping on wine and wine slushies visiting with our friends. On a busy Friday or Saturday night, you can sample a predetermined list of wines. If you want to choose your own wines to sample, go earlier in the day or on a different night. The first time I have ever had a wine slushy was at Country Heritage and let me just say that they are amazing! So, so good! And you can even purchase a bottle of wine and slushy packet to make your own at home. They also have meat and cheese trays for purchase as well as homemade fudge. This is a very nice place to visit on a warm summer night when they have live music playing. Go with your friends, sample some wine, buy a bottle to sip while you listen to the music and play cards out on the veranda. And don't forget to get a wine slushy! It's a great time! :)

Visited Saturday night when Breaking Tradition was there, who is a GREAT country band. Free to get in, free wine tasking and free to listen to the band. You can buy bottles or glasses of wine. Only complaint is lack of food as bands place from 5-8pm - only food is a paper plate they call a tray of cheese and crackers or chees, crackers and meet. They $5.00 and $7.00. Cranberry wine was great. Get there early not enough tables for all and a lot of people standing room only,

I kept hearing about this place, but never got around to making a visit until I was invited to meet up with some friends. I was very impressed. Easily located just off of Hwy 3 just south of Laotto. A long driveway that takes you right through the vineyard. The inside is over the top. As you enter the first room it is packed with gifts, candy, wine, jams, and cheese. A very large bar for a sample or drink. The room in the back also has a bar and a very large wine selection. The cool part is the stuffed wildlife and display. Very cool. My favorite part is the outside seating in the back. It over looks the vineyard. We ate pizza and listened to some guy singing and playing the guitar. Awesome time. I could have stayed there all day.

Free tastings of 6 wines including the wine of the month. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They have cheese and meat plates along with fudge to purchase as no outside food is allowed. I highly recommend the wine slushy on a hot summer day as you relax under the gazebo and look out into the vineyards. Conveniently located right off of SR 3 just north of Fort Wayne.
