If you are a Jayhawk fan, stop by and see all their trophies and find out fun information about the players, coaches and the legends of KU basketball.
We were disappointed on our visit to Lawrence that this is currently closed. Details below. The Booth Family Hall of Athletics, located in the University of Kansas' Allen Fieldhouse, will close for approximately six months beginning on March 4, 2015, to accommodate the Fieldhouse phase of the construction of the DeBruce Center. The Hall of Athletics is scheduled to reopen in mid-September; tours of the Hall will resume at that time.
Drove 8 hours from MN with buddies to go to first game at the Phog. Not disappointed. Spend a long time walking around looking a exhibits. Very cool if you like college sports and a must if a Jayhawks fan. Really more of a small museum. History, trophies, pictures and interactive exhibits. Like comparing wing span, shoe and hand size etc. Enjoyed it very much
Great family place. A definite must if you are into college basketball. Lots of interactive activities.
We always enjoy coming to Lawrence not only for the games but for the food and shopping the wide varity of food is great for such a small town
If you have never been to Allen Fieldhouse, where this Booth Family Hall of Athletics is located it is a MUST! A bucket list item for sure. This place is filled with so much history of not only basketball but every sport. This is real history and a place that will hold a memory forever.
A great exhibit in the halls/lobby of Phog Allen Fieldhouse. All sports represented, with an obvious emphasis on all their great athletes from the past. The only thing I was disappointed with was my inability to find the original handwritten rules of basketball from James Naismith.
A must-see for Jayhawk fans. A great display of KU Athletics history. And, it's always fun to see the crystal basketball :)
We had do much fun!Loved the history about the Jayhawks! Atmosphere was super fun, and the people very friendly! And KU won! :)
this is a completely fantastic sports museum! If you like Jayhawk basketball, this is not to be missed!
Five national basketball championship trophies on display here (five more than at Mizery or hay state combined).
Being a KU grad I must admit that I am a little biased on all things KU. But you have to go here. It is the mecca of KU athletics. KU's basketball tradition is overwhelming but the other sports are so important as well. Good place to see it all.Rock Chalk!
Any Jayhawk has to stop by the Booth Family Hall of Athletics and Allen Fieldhouse - give yourself some time so you don't miss anything. Don't miss Max's ring collection!
superb museum at Phog Allen Field House in the heart of the U of Kansas campus. Legends, heros, photos, sports items, nostalgia, history and hands on. Great for families. FREE
Everyone should visit the HOME of basketball, and witness the history, tradition, and excitement that this venue offers! Also has history on all athletic programs at KU and is very well laid out.
