If architecture or construction interests you this is a fascinating place. One mans dream, his obsession, something he is driven to complete for reasons he may not even know. It is very much under construction and many may say it was not worth the trip. My wife and I were treated very kindly by the owner who with a friend is constructing this on his own to fulfill his dream. You MUST PLAN AHEAD and request a tour. He is a builder not a tour guide and I am sure he would rather spend his time completing his vision rather than explaining his vision. He is very knowledgeable and this is built as a REAL castle it is not a home with a façade. It is the size of a larger single family home but understand it is NOT complete so if that is your expectation please don't bother. It is also NOT a drive by site. You will encore a short walk before you can even see it. IF THE OWNER TAKES HIS TIME TO SHOW YOU AROUND PLEASE BE SURE YOU LEAVE A DONATION. We pay for a museum tour and we felt this was just as good.
