Adams is connected to MJ's Coffee House and the Allen Theatre - very convenient. They offered free wine tastings, all from their label, and all were quite nice (I especially enjoyed the Cabernet). We took our glasses to one of the charming seating areas, and enjoyed the company and the terrific art photography on the walls. We were able to order a small meal from the connected MJ's, which was delivered to us by a very nice server. The whole experience was casual, but sophisticated - very much an environment that would be at home in a much larger city. We would go back in a heartbeat.

I had heard about this new business venture through a local website in the Central PA area so I wanted to check it out. I love businesses that are selling a local product or are a small batch operation. This place is pretty awesome. When you walk in it is set up like a little café with some tables, chairs, and some comfy seating areas. Local artwork hangs on the walls as well. The sampling bar is in the back of the small space and they're more than willing to pour you whatever sample you would like. Everything is fairly sweet (at least to a dry red drinker, like myself) and high in alcoholic content; which can be a little deceiving when you buy a glass. We ended up taking a bottle of the sweet merlot home with us and are very excited to dive into it soon. Since the wine bar is attached to a coffee house/café, you can order food from next door and bring it to your table in the wine bar. There is a door that connects the two businesses so you don't need to walk outside. Note: Adams is only open on Fridays and Saturdays in the evenings so it took a little bit of planning ahead for us to go. We're usually pretty spontaneous people who like to pop into a business on a random night. But because of their limited hours, we had to make sure we chose a night that they were open.
