Kitchen Kettle Village is a great place to visit and shop. The main place to stop at is the Jam and Jelly place. There you can taste all of the wonderful jams, jellys, pickles, salsas, etc that they make and sell. My favorite is the pineapple salsa! It is EXCELLENT! Other shops in the village include a tee shirt shop, a Christmas shop, a pottery place with local made pottery, a leather shop, a garden shop, a fudge shop, a quilt shop and more that I can't think of at the moment! All of the employees are very nice and pleasant. They are more than helpful if you need something. They are always willing to chat with you, answer a question, or just say hello. My only suggestion is to have more shops with local items. There are definitely those shops there, but I would like to see more. I skip right over the shops that deal with mass market items. I go to Kitchen Kettle Village 2-3 times a year and it is always a great experience!

Lots of little shops and great for young and old. Lots of variety there, from quilts to candy to Americana-type decoration stores...It really is a pleasant little place.

This is a nice place to stop and walk around. There are a some really cute shops and places to get a snack if you want. The only thing to keep in mind is it is definitely touristy and can get crowded in the late spring/summer.

My wife and I visited the Lancaster area and spent a morning at the KKV and had a great time. Now if you are not a shopper, it is still a great environment to just hang out, grab a cup of coffee or a snack and just enjoy the atmosphere of a small Amish community. If you're looking for excitement, move on. If you love the small town, cozy atmosphere then you are in a good spot. Autumn is a great time to visit. Slow down and enjoy!

Stayed here just for a very cold snowy afternoon but I wasn't dissapointed, sadly some of the shops were closed but I got some great intercourse t-shirts,amazing jams,I'm now addicted to Apple butter, which I will be bringing back to Scotland,am pretty much putting it on everything (sweet and savoury).I stood for ages in the relish and jam shop watching the Amish women making jams and relishes whilst tasting vast amounts of samples on offer.Even though it's a tourist attraction village, the prices were fantastic, very surprised at how cheap things were,I would differently recommend this place and will certainly visit again

Obviously this is set up as a tourist destination. However, given the theme shops and reasonable prices it offers a little something for all ages. Usually there is music on the concourse and lots of things for kids, ie: facepainting, etc. There are also a variety of craft orientated shops such as the knitting / crochet shop and a shop catering to your pets. We go for a "week-ender" and never find and pressure when in the shops and stores. If you finish up and need more there are an abundance of Antique stores and other specialty stores within a few minute walk. Food ranges from "fast food" to sit down and all are fixed and served great! Of course much is based on Amish style but who would ever turn that down!!! With-in a short drive continue on and visit the close by other little towns for more good stuff and a very good winery outlet. Travel safe and enjoy!

It was very cold - winter visit - not all the shops were open, but my favorite was -- jam and jellies.

I make special trips to kitchen kettle to buy my much "needed" jam. I love the seedless boysenberry. I buy six jars because when company comes and try it for breakfast - they ask where can they get it? I give them a jar! I also buy their chow chow for my husband. Their pepper jam is great mixed with one package of softened cream cheese serve with crackers. Besides all this you can watch women make jam, cookies etc. Try any sample you'd like from apple butter to salsa. I never leave without buying wooppeee pies. Its located in a touristy outdoor shopping area but its fun !

We headed out to the village unaware that most of the shops were closed because of it being winter .But we did find a few great food places to visit and enjoyed them immensely.

Our room was excellent and the staff very courteous. The shops were lovely, we only spend one night so it wasn't enough time to do everything. Great place to visit!

Very fun! It may have been more fun if we were there during the summer. Some shops were closed during January but it was still fun to browse through the shops! The fudge shop was top notch! We had the "death by chocolate" one.

My wife and I took a ride and spent 3 or 4 hours walking the village. We both enjoyed the experience very much. Nice variety of shops. A chance to sample and purchace a wide variety of delicious food stuffs in clean and inviting shops. The toy store is very unique selling items I haven't seen in stores since I was little, and that's a while ago. The shop keepers and employees were very pleasant and eager to please. Really had a nice time visiting the village and definitely am planning a return trip.

I am so sorry your experience at our Village was not one you will remember fondly. We should be taking extra steps to make you feel welcome during the wintertime since you are making some extra effort to get here through the snow. I have already given a copy of your review to the people in charge of the two stores you mentioned but we will be communicating your message to all the stores in the Village. It is not our intent that your visit be the one you experienced. Please give us another chance to show you our true hospitality in action.

Good entertainment along with good food. This festival is well attended even on week days. It is an opportunity to enjoy rhubarb in many different ways.

We have been shopping here for 50 years. We always leave with a load of Jams and Chow Chow for our own use and as gifts. The Chow Chow is the best, the jams are also great. I only wish that we lived but it is always worth the 12 hour round trip,
