sage branch library

I have been going to the Sage Library for years. It is historic, clean, well-staffed and just plain cool. It is a landmark in Bay City and provides a setting whereby you just want to sit and absorb the ambience.

Lived just a few blocks away, went there all the time when I was in school, you could find whatever you needed & the building is beautiful. Love the fountain out front.

I have gone to this library for over 40 years since I was a little girl. It is in a beautiful historic building renovated a few years back. Staff is helpful and just a great place to spend some quiet time.

Sage was given to Bay City in the 1880s by Henry Sage, lumberman. It's part of the Bay County Library System. It was totally renovated with strict attention to be historically accurate. It's a beautiful building housing a small collection--Wirt library holds the largest collection in the system. It's a great place to take your kids so they can say hello to the bears on the columns.
