michigan transit museum

We recently went here for my sons 5th birthday and he loved it! It was interesting to see all the memorabilia and the train ride was fun too.

Only open on Sundays I think - limited time and staffed by railroad buffs who volunteer their time. This is a former train station stop converted to museum. If you a passing by, by all means stop, as places like this a few and far between. 30 minutes is all you would need there at most.

Its kind of neat especially to take kids on a little train ride, they take you in Selfridge Air Base museum, and you get to look at all the planes they have in there, and shop in their gift shop. The train smells a little musty at first, but other then that, its nice.
