whispering pines golf club

We played Whispering Pines in Pinckney for the first time yesterday, and we had a great day on the course. The front 9 winds through a subdivision and the fairways are lined with homes; although they are typically set far enough back as to not intrude on your shot. The back 9 winds through hardwoods and wetlands and provides a more secluded setting on each hole. The overall layout is excellent and it is really fun to play, with lots of elevation changes and semi-tough undulating greens. However, I will say that most of the fairways are fairly narrow and this is one of the tighter tracks that I have ever played, so you had better be hitting your driver and irons straight on each of your shots or you will find some trouble. The course conditions are definitely above average and the greens roll fast and true. Carts are allowed in the parking lot, which always makes it easier to load and unload your clubs, and I appreciate that. Friendly staff, very reasonable prices and an exciting layout means I will be back again soon!

This is not one of my favorite courses in the area. Maybe I should practice more but there are numerous blind driving holes, narrow (did I say narrow) fairways. Staff is friendly but there are other courses in the area that are more inviting. Senior friendly.
