kinsale museum

Very nice little museum. Very friendly and helpful volunteer. The village is a nice little side trip if you are traveling along Route 3. You can visit wineries in the area, eat at the BackDraft restaurant and visit the antique/consignment shops in the area. Very nice afternoon outing!

We did a short tour of Northern Neck places we'd not visited before, Kinsale being one. The museum is only opened Friday and Saturdays; if you are there, by all means stop and visit. The curator is very knowledgable and entertaining, as I had her switching topics and she never failed to have a story. The community has been generous in donating items of interest. Several boat models are included. The museum is in what was once a pub, which has seen a lot of work and community support.
