This is a beautiful stadium to see a baseball game. Right on the water. Safe for families with children. Only complaint is that I wish the crowd was Louder.

I love the open concept of this ballpark. Not a bad seat in the place. Try to grab a bite at the restaurant in right field. Great place to take the family

we looked at the park from the deck of the uss Wisconsin and when we came back in from the spirit of Norfolk luncheon cruise.they were setting up for a children play weekend.

Came here with family several times, always enjoy a game and have a good time. Prices are average and what you would expect at the concession stands and entry prices are fine, lots of times you can find free or reduced tickets around the city.

Our Local AAA Team is the Norfolk Tides, which are an affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and I always find time between April and September to take family out to Harbor Park to catch a ball game and sometimes I will try to catch a Business Man's Special with a game starting at 12 Noon. Growing up n New Hampshire, I grew up following the Red Sox, though this year wasn't much fun, but I did get a chance to see the youngsters coming up from Pawtucket. They have a crowd fav a couple times a year which is called, "Turn back the Clock", where popcorn, hot dogs, and soda's are all 25 cents each and they almost always are a sell out. Tix are cheap and there is a good seat to be had no matter where you sit and if your lucky, Fireworks are shot off after the game during the season.

Take me out to the ball game!!! Take me out with the crowd!!!I had peanuts and cracker jacks :) and a hotdog and some nachos and a big ol soda!! :)Oh what big fun was it to be outdoors in 80+ degree weather with a breeze blowing off the river and seeing our hometown MiLB team win against the Braves...awesome time!! And to top it off at the end of the game a grand fireworks show!! Fun fun fun!!Amongst a crowd of 10,000+ Harbor Park provides a great family experience for anyone that enjoys baseball. They even have people from the audience participate in games to win prizes during the top and bottom innings. The mascots are hilarious too!!! The field/stadium is beautiful!!I sat in section 117 in row F! Great seats!! I even had about 5 balls get hit in my direction!! So cool!!! But I didn't catch any...those balls come 80+ mph and I had no glove...sheeeesh. I'll catch one in my hat one day I suppose. But aside from the game, Flamingo Joe's employee's go up and down each isle selling: cotton candy, soda, snow cones and peanutsBeer, water, popcorn, nachos, burgers, fries, and all the fixings can be found and sold on the main deck from one end to the other. There is a restaurant (closed in) on site. Not sure why anyone would want to eat inside when the weather is soooooooooooooo gorge out! But It looked as if it was busy busy in there. If you plan to bring a large crowd or your company is planning an event...definitely check out the catering options the park provides. Your own caterers, own section to sit and eat and watch the game...personal attendants. This is set up sorta behind the field, but still a great time! Kind VIP ish. They have box seats, but I didn't see where they were located. Sky boxes are available as well...this is just a neato stadium!!The commentators are great as well!! I didn't catch any mix ups or stutters....so good job!!I haven't been a MLB game so I do not have anything to compare this experience too...hence the missing 5th star.Parking around the Harbor Park is $5 and ticket prices range from $11-$14. So if you want to save $5 park a few blocks away and walk...good exercise. Or catch the "Tide" (light rail train) for less.Check out their website before you attend to see what's going on for the game you wish to attend. The night I went happened to feature a lot things...free stuff, super heros, mascots from area companies etc. and fireworks. It's definitely a day of big fun and relaxation the same time. Oh and the seats in the rows are super close and tight in IMO so wear your deodorant and be kind :)Have fun :)

Brought family for a game. Good environment and above average stadium. Lights didn't work in outfield though so game called early. Lines for food were ridiculously long though and beer and food prices seemed high.

Was in town for a few days. I a baseball fan, so i enjoy going to baseball games. The stadium was clean. My seat was great could see all the field. Did not order any food, so can't give you any feedback on food. only had A one beer service was good and friendly. Didn't drive took the lite- rail to the game. Drops you off right in front of the Stadium.

We had a great time with the wonderful ESI Team at the Party Deck of Harbor Park.Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.Thank you ESI and the Tides.

We had an open Friday night and purchased tickets to see the Tides play. You can't beat the prices to see the Tides. We paid only $10 great price and motivated me to start planning for next season with the boys. They had a good time watching baseball and were close enough to interact with players.I think there is something special about minor league teams because they are not overpaid and still have a love and passion for the game that most pros seem to have lost along with the overpriced tickets. If you are visiting Hampton Roads you should take time to watch a game, it's fun and good family entertainment. Riptide is the mascot and he took time with guests to take pictures and was very lively.

Our family had traveled to Hampton for a relative's funeral. He had loved baseball so we decided to go to the Tides game. We all enjoyed it. The scoreboard was well run and informative. It also had funny "facts" about the visiting team. We were there on comic superstar night and loved it. The special characters Harry Canary, Cincinnati centipede Pete Rose, the St. Louis shark and best of all Roger Clammens were hilarious. The ball park food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. The Tides won. The post game fireworks were awesome. I would recommend planning to get there early. The tunnels from Hampton were slow then there was quite a parking jam and we ended up in a distant garage. the handicapped relatives said access was easy and they loved being there. If we lived closer we'd return for more games!

Baseball in the summer is the best entertainment there is. You can not only watch a game, but also meet lots of new people and talk to everyone. Every seat is a good seat and the food on the concourse is varied enough to suit everyone. Hotdog Nation has an Oriole hotdog that has everyone talking - hot dog with mac and cheese and crabmeat. And it's only $4.50. Can't beat the prices!

I really had fun at this ballpark. The usher in aisle 107 is wonderful; he conversed with the fans between innings and wanted everyone to feel comfortable and have a great time! HOWEVER, there is not a screen in this area so one must be vigilant about etching for foul balls and flying baseball bats. If you want to spend time conversing with others..., you should probably sit elsewhere. Aisles 100, 102, 103, 104, and 105 (and the same aisle numbers beginning with a 2) are behind screens. The mascot was fun to watch although his costume was a bit grungy. The organist and announcer are very good and do a good job encouraging the fans to show their excitement and cheer on the home team. The ball park is very clean and recycling bins are provided. On "Throwback Nights", one can purchase sodas, hotdogs, and popcorn (at designated concession stands) for 50 cents. The fresh lemonade was quite good (but pricey at $5.00).The first night I went, the attendance was around 4000; the second night, it was 8000+. I suggest buying your tickets early in the day (at the regular price)or before game day (not only to avoid the lines, but to get a discount of $1-2). I was surprised to learn that this ballpark was built in 1993; it seemed newer. The scoreboard gives more info about the players and the ongoing game than any I have ever seen! It even provides an ongoing pitch count with a breakdown of balls and strikes. Also, answers to funny questions such as, "What is your favorite kitchen utensil?" as well as the usual ones such as, "What is your favorite movie?" I was traveling and stayed at the Sheraton Waterside. It was about a 5 minute walk to the ballpark from the hotel.Perhaps it was an anomaly, but the games were LOOONG. The first night had a 2-1 score and lasted 3 hours and 5 minutes; the second game was a 14-2 affair and lasted for 3 hours and 31 minutes. Nonetheless, it was, overall, a great way to spend a couple of nights!

Not a huge baseball fan (I like the action of hockey) but this was the perfect Wednesday night activity. Gorgeous field, very clean area, food was great, beer even better and everyone was helpful and kind. There is nothing like sitting on your teams side with a bunch of other hometown folks. Great for kids and adults. Money well spent for a night out and definitely a fun experience for those who have never been to a ball game.I travel around Virginia a lot so check out my blog www.travelingva.wordpress.com for more reviews, pictures, and fun stops!

Perfect for a Saturday afternoon or evening ball game. They have a restaurant serving a buffet, but it is expensive. Plenty of fun for the kids and I recommend bringing them. Parking will cost you a few bucks so have some cash. Affordable family night out and the Tides are usually a good team to watch...Orioles AAA club. Great seats are very affordable.
