We've only ever gone to the indoor theater here. It's not pretty or especially clean, but it's decent. The seats are comfortable, recline slightly, and have cup holders. The popcorn is good, and the snack candy is plentiful. They offer 2D and 3D showings when available.
It's as if time stopped in the 50's. Movies are current release. Priced by carload. Open all year except Easter and Christmas.
We have never had a bad time at the drive in. You can call it a dump or whatever but find another one close by. Yeah the place is old but two movies for 10 bucks a car load?? Find that at the Cinergy. I love this place hands down.
$10 a car load. Byob. Snack bar popcorn is tasty. Wish they would trim some of the tree back from the screen and add outdoor seating and a playground up front. Can't beat a drive in for fun at the movies b
This place is so cool!! 2 movies for 10$ that's awesome and if you have little ones it's perfect you can back up the car put seats down and veg out!!! Super fun it's a drive in so it's nothing fancy but it's fun and it takes you back to a simple time!!!
The first time I visted this place was in the 1990's. The Last Drive-In Picture Show is a landmark in Central Texas. Nowhere else can you take a carload of people to view two new releases for $10. Even the concession prices are amazing. We got 1 large popcorn for us & 3 small popcorns for the boys for only $10!! We even brought our own cooler full of drinks and candy. Try that at one of the new theaters in the area. The last time we went to the movies in Killeen, the five of us saw one movie and we shared a large popcorn & two large drinks (almost $50 total). If you don't stay for the second show, you still get a great deal for your money AND you help keep a little slice of Americana alive.
Super fun and interesting ol' timey type drive in! It is a bit run down and parking was a hellion to deal with but I had an immensely fun time. Watch out for big trucks in front of you when you park, heads will block the screen.
there is no way anyone can say this is a nice place, this is falling down, dump. if you like dirty places then go .
The Last Drive-In Picture Show is perfect for those of us with large families and a light pocket book. On the weekend you can watch two new movies for $10 a carload. That's a deal!!! The staff is extra friendly and welcoming.
Now this is great, a car full of friends for five dollars can see two first class release movie every week. If it's too hot you can go inside. There is nothing better than movie buttered popcorn and Dr Pepper and Friends
We took our family of 5 to this drive in to see Three Stooges & Men In Black 3. The cost is $10 per car , you get to see 2 movies & you can bring in your own food/drinks. There is a concession stand available inside the building for those that want to go that route. (Restrooms as well!) We arrived about an hour prior to start time, easily found the spot we wanted, with our cooler, pizza boxes and snacks we were set! The kids were content with using their sports chairs set up around the van, while my husband & I used the stadium seating in the back of our van. Quite a few who had pick ups brought blankets and layed in the bed of their truck, many options to watch a good movie! This drive in is small; with only 1 screen, but it kept the traffic down too! We did run into trouble with the radio station creating a lot of static during the two movies. At times the movie would also fade out and a spanish radio station would come blasting through instead :/ We would have to quickly run into the car and turn it down while we fiddled with the stations, very distracting! There seemed to be quite a few cars that had this issue. Not sure if this is normal for this place.. A well displayed sign with the exact station (preferably one with a good signal base) should be posted around or mentioned when you enter/pay. By the time we got to the 2nd movie, we shut off our radio completely- sitting outside we could hear just fine utilizing the sound from the other cars. Not my preferred way, but for a fun family night out we werent complaining. :) We also noticed a "mini golf" course when we came in, with games a $1 each.. pretty run down looking but a good deal I suppose, if you arrive real early and need to kill time. This is not the fanciest place..but who comes for fancy?! This is the perfect old school way to enjoy a good family night or date night and such a great deal, we will be back regularly!
