mesilla book center

This book store is in "Old Mesilla", a local historic site and tourist destination. Smaller than say a "Barnes and Noble" (which we also have, and I go to, I am a "book" person). While this store is not huge, If I am looking for a specific book on a not the mainstream topic (blacksmithing for example), this is one of the places that I look, and more often than not, I find it.Great store, with a great "personality"

We spent some time browsing in this charming independent book store, and my daughter bought a few books. The store has a very nice book selection, with an area for New Mexican authors and subjects, and a side room with adult books. There's also a room in back with kids' picture books and chapter books. In the front room, books and gifts. My other daughter bought a set of "worry dolls". The building the book store is housed in is very interesting. The front room has a fireplace; the side room a big mural on the wall. I liked looking around the building just as much as browsing the book selection.
