Basic Ingredients provided pies and coffee for my wedding - what a hit! They made four different kinds of pies that were just right for our August celebration, including our favorite berry pie, Fruits of the Forest. Our guests couldn't get enough! They also made a variety of desserts and a wonderful fruit salad for our brunch after the wedding. In terms of service, I can't say enough. Garlyn was supportive and flexible throughout the whole difficult process of planning a wedding, and when the day came she was not only professional but truly caring and excited for our families. Having her there felt more like having a friend cater our wedding than someone we had just met. Basic Ingredients helped make our wedding a truly special and memorable event.

Family Affair, seasonal Artisan bakery that we wait months for as they are Summer Seasonal. Wonderful baked goods at more than fair prices!! I can't wait for Memorial day opening! The BEST !

I always get my dad's birthday cakes at this bakery every summer. Everyone loves their cakes. They also have great charm bracelets.

I have been going to Basic Ingredients for years and this is one terrific little place. Garland, Paul and their kids are all terrific folks who run this bakery out of their home. My personal favorite is the cinnamon swirl bread, which when you get it freshly baked first thing in the morning, is to absolutely die for. All their muffins, sticky buns and pies are great too!

This bakery/gift shop is a true treasure of this area. I always call ahead and order a raspberry pie for my husband--the pies are great! They bake all kinds of breads, great muffins, have won awards for their (very large) sticky buns, and offer sandwiches and casseroles, too. A perfect place to get your meals from when you are on vacation and don't feel like cooking. Pop one of their lasagnas in your oven and relax. Also, one of the few places around where you can get some nice Newfound Lake apparel, etc. Open Wednesday-Sundays.
