these people were wonderful to just be around they are experts in the area of wine and what goes with each wine selection too.

We were one of only 3 tables in the whole place and the service was terrible. It took 15 minutes just to get a wine/tapas menu then another 30 to order. After a while we decided on a cheese tray (which was very good) but it took 30 minutes for that to come out. We decided they must have had to go out and milk the cows to make it. We might try it one more time in hopes that the service was just having an off night because it was very cozy inside with a great wine list.

Arrived at the Sage Wine Bar Saturday night after a fellow worker suggested this new establishment. This place has excellent possibilities of being the place to share conversation and a good glass of wine. A group sat down at the next table, and my table's conversation became hard to hear because of the neighbors' voices.Suggestion: Add an area rug in front of the fireplace. Add some more cushy seating. Break up the table-after-table bore with a tall plant here and there. All of the above would absorb sound and lessen the harshness of the hard floor, tabletops, fireplace marble, etc. Echoes would disappear. Also, the floor-to-ceiling narrow window at the rear - provide some softness in that corner. A car parked outside that window provided unwelcome headlight glare all the way through the wine bar - must be some way to camouflage this.We'll be back - wine was delicious and the beef tenderloin tips w/horseradish dip was succulent.
