I have been fortunate enough to attend many productions here and have loved each one. It is always a joy to dress up for the theater and enjoy incredible performances. It is a wonderful experience for couples, families, and students on field trips. Enjoy a spectacular outing here!

Minneapolis is such a great theater town, with the jewel being the remarkable Guthrie Theater complex. Surrounded by terrific restaurants, guaranteed to provide a grand time.

I have visited the Gurthrie Theater twice so far and seen a play and a musical, both at the Wurtele Thrust Stage (asymmetrical auditorium). The McGuire Proscenium Stage is more traditional. My local friends and international guests enjoyed the visits as well. We also attended the backstage tour the next day. Highly recommended! There is a very convenient parking ramp opposite to the building. Make sure you take time to walk around in the building and admire e.g. " the cantilevered lobby known as the 'Endless Bridge' is an observatory for the Mississippi River falls and landscape" and the yellow balcony (7th floor, if I remember right). Guthrie is open for public (entrance to the building is free!) and as we were there, a couple was taking wedding pictures. FYI: "Guthrie Theater does not have a dress code. Audience members are free to arrive in jeans or tuxedos. Tickets can be purchased in person at our box office on Level One, via phone at 612.377.2224 or online at www.guthrietheater.org. "
