We stayed for a family gathering and it was perfect. We had enough space and were off the beaten path so we could truly enjoy our time together. The signage around the area isn't completely clear, but the grounds are well kept.

Run down cottage & cabin. Although they ALLOW horseback riding, they don't have horses. The local is pretty & enjoyable, but the facilities are lacking.

We had such a relaxing stay at Whiterock. We had the house to ourselves and enjoyed looking at the historic photos. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have had. The breakfast the next morning, while self serve, was fit for a full farm day...or a day on the bike trails around the conservancy. We took advantage of all the place had to offer and recommend it to anyone with a connection to agriculture or the desire for a comfortable night's rest in a gracious country setting.

Had a great walk here through Coon Rapids, visiting the farm made famous by Kruschev, the trails around it, and enjoyed seeing the DNA sculpture.

I just spent a month in Coon Rapids Iowa and found it a most enjoyable place to visit. From the rolling hills of the Whiterock Conservancy, to leisurely shopping through the city center, the town is as picturesque as can be. Whiterock Conservancy is blessed with 5400 acres of scenic trails kept in pristine condition by the hard working staff. While hiking it is possible to see the majesty of a soaring bald eagle or the grace and beauty of a doe grazing with her fawn. You will enjoy the contrast of rolling hills on one side of the Middle Racoon River, and beautiful prairie on the other.Once finished hiking the trails through Whiterock Conservancy, you can enjoy an afternoon of stroling Main Street. From the florist, Ribbons and Roses with an elagant array of flowers, to the privately owned grocery store, Frolick's with baked goods prepared fresh every day. After an afternoon of shopping, dinner can be had at Main Street Pizza which boasts an array of unique pizzas, sandwhiches, and paninis. The town will dazzle you with it's charm and open arms. You will instantaneously fall in love as you peruse every nook and cranny this town has to offer. Enjoy the beauty, unique shopping, and everything else Coon Rapids has to offer.
