lost island nature center

The Lost Island Nature Center is located on the east shore of Lost Island Lake. The facility is surrounded by well preserved native foliage. The nature center itself is packed with fun nature-oriented learning activities for kids along with several live animals including turtles, fish, snakes, and bees. The wetland wildlife diorama is a hit with kids and adults. I was enthralled with all the environmental learning material from the region, state, and country. A great stop for family or the curious traveler. We did not stay overnight, but there was a campsite positioned near the Nature Center. A quick walk down their paved trail, you will find a boat launch, picnic areas, and a swimming beach. Would be a great place to visit for the weekend!
