My family loved the variety of activities to do. From fishing to visiting the local attractions, Redfish Lake is a great place for a family vacation!

I love this place! I had been once before in the 90's and remembered it fondly. We stayed this time in July 2014 and stayed in Lake Suite #21 which was very nice. The staff was helpful and very friendly. My only complaint was the lack of cell service. Verizon customers had spotty service everyone else, none at all. I had to drive to Stanley to make a call. Our family didn't connect for 24 hours because we could not find each other. Next time we will plan ahead and you should too. The lake is beautiful and we will be returning this year for more fun!!

One end you have all the services you need and at the other end, just minutes away by boat, is the gateway to wilderness.

The drive up there is worth the trip want to go back and do some whitewater rafting there are some serious drops make time for it if you are into it..

The water is clear and light green like the Caribbean and you can see the Sawtooth Mountains in the background. This is one of my favorite camping spots in all of Idaho. Be sure to book a spot at Point Campground. It has the best views and access to the lake. Be advised that the lake is very cold late into the summer. Late July or early August is the best time to camp there.

I almost don't want to review this to keep it to myself. This lake is beautiful, serene, and refreshing. The water is crystal clear and nestled right in between the Sawtooth mountains. I am definitely coming back here!

My husband and I stayed in the Lake Cabin Suite #19 and liked the spaciousness of it, including a roomy front porch. However, the stale smell of urine in the unheated bathroom was so strong that it was nauseating. We also spent one night in Rustic cabin #4. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but by morning I had changed my mind when I was able to turn on the gas fireplace and crawl back into bed to warm up after temperatures had dipped below freezing the night before. I ripped a hole in my jeans from a nail sticking out of a dresser, so the term rustic is very appropriate for this group of cabins. We enjoyed our stay and were able to reminisce a bit about some of our previous visits, but next time we will probably explore other sleeping options near Stanley and limit our time at Redfish to daytime activities.

I had been here about 9 years ago with my son, and loved it for its little beach, great view, and boat rentals. This time, my husband and I went late summer, and it was just the same...if not even more well cared for. Very relaxing. I could sit in the chairs by the lodge and read for hours.

This is a beautiful area with a lot of history. There is music on the lawn at night with families of all ages dancing. The food at the restaurant is very good and there is a long porch outside with lots of rocking chairs-a great place to sit after dinner, have a drink, observe everyone and meet new friends! We met several families that had been coming there for generations. The atmosphere is very laid back/casual. The only downside is that it can be crowded-I encourage reservations during popular weekends. We also had the BEST breakfast ever at the Stanley Bakery nearby--yum!

The scenery and walks around the lake are brilliant, however we were here first weekend in July and it was so busy and noisy it spoiled the experience. Can't really complain because if I could holiday and spend most weekends here I surely would, however as a tourist who enjoys taking in the scenery it was too busy. If it's mountains, lakes and tranquility you need go to Stanley lake instead.

This was my second Tom's to Redfish Lake and it is beautiful. Last time we rented a pontoon boat and toured the lake. This time we found a beach and camped out for the day. We played on SUP that friends rented at the marina. Also played on kayaks! Great fun! I wish we could have spent more time.

Great 6 mile (approximate) hike on well marked trail from Redfish Lake Lodge to top of Redfish Lake. Side trail to Bench Lakes adds about 3 miles RT and 1000 ft elevation (again approximate). Scheduled boat brings you back to Lodge for $10. Sweet.

Beautiful lake, but a bit crowded. A boat will take you across to save you miles in a beautiful hike.

Redfish Lake has it all. Fishing, boating, hiking, beauty, quiet mornings and a traditional lodge with live entertainment. Make sure to make reservations well in advance for either camping or Redfish Lodge. The limited overnight places are what keeps the crowds dispersed and make it a wonderful vacation destination. .

Breathe taking views. Relaxing and GREAT for camping or a day trip. Romantic for couples, great for families and fun experience for a group of friends.
