I love to go there, I always go from Utah during the winter, and is really nice, bathrooms very clean, staff very helpful and nice, the accept credit and debit card payments, you can take your own alcohol, but not in glass containers, but if you accidentally take your alcohol y a glass bottle, they lend you plastic cups. I don't know if they still do it, but last time I went they had little boats that you could borrow to navigate trough the river, at no extra cost, and the river is really nice too.

Still raving about our experience. New owners/management are so nice, accommodating, flexible and friendly. The pools are lovely.

My husband and I have been frequent customers at MGHS since 2005. We loved the place from the minute we found it and feel like we've lost a good friend with the change of ownership. Barb and Stephanie made us feel at home with their personal service, vibe and care they brought to the place. We felt liked valued frequent soakers, greeted by name and rewarded by getting every 10th soak free (you mentioned that you'll start a customer base online and will keep track that way, and I've shared my email with you, never heard back from you). Management was approachable, if we ever had an issue with anything, things got fixed promptly, and special requests got granted. The fact that there weren't strict rules about everything distinguished MG from other springs, where customers are just treated as numbers. We've spend the night whenever we could afford to, but most times just had to settle for a soak after a ski or hike in the Bear River Range. We enjoyed having a couple of beers during our soak, and never got drunk. We usually avoided the few, rowdy late afternoon/evening hours on the weekend, when the place got taken over by rowdy locals. We've seen rowdy partying at many hot spring places, whether alcohol was allowed or not - it is an issue completely separate from having a couple of beers during a relaxing soak. One place seemed to have success by putting up a sign that prohibited alcohol, with a policy of not enforcing it on the peaceful, regular guests. Unlike Maple Grove, they had a gathering for regulars, where they listened to ideas and comments on how to regulate this issue, among others. Even though we didn't get everything we proposed, we felt like valued customers whose opinions counted. MG is a private business and you can run it as you please, but please consider the natural treasure and unique experiences you're depriving your most loyal followers of. Sad, what a loss!

A beautiful spot. Water is just the right temperature, the surrounding hills are beautiful, a short walk from the hot pool and you are in the refreshingly cool water of the Bear River. This would be a 5 star review except for the high pitched noise coming from their solar panel power thing. Fix that and you get 6 stars.I wish the new owner the best in making this a spot I will be back to quite often.

We had a wonderful visit to the hot springs. All power in generated on site a real green retreat. It is a bit off the beaten path but that keeps it from being crowded. This is not a posh resort site just the basics. However the people are friendly and helpful. We went on a nice day the last 4 miles are on a gravel road that could be entertaining in a 2wheel drive if the weather is bad. We enjoyed spending some time swimming in the river as well as soaking in the hot pools.

3 Stars because it wasn't terrible, but I would give the trailer itself a measly 1 star.We rented one of their trailers called the "Detroiter"--a "charming" 1955 beauty that was in far worse shape than the pictures online depicted. So, just to enlighten any who are thinking about it: The ceiling is sagging down in several places from water damage and black mold growing around everywhere. The back bedroom reeks of urine. The bathroom is unusable of course but reeks also, probably hasn't been cleaned in a decade. They do advertise no power, but we were mislead that there was a "propane" stove and stove top coffee pot implying the stove at least worked. No it did not. Carpet is nasty. Several of the windows are broken and the screens are ripped. The screen door is duct taped. The footon was broken and sagging, but was ok for one small person to sleep on. No curtains. I am disappointed in the lack of honesty about this trailer... we would have appreciated a warning! I hope that with new ownership this can be remedied. Either get rid of the old thing, or fix it up and it COULD be charming, OR at least tell your guests what a surprise they were in for. Also, the "community kitchen" is right in the office or pool house. It was not crowded during our stay so it wouldn't have been a big deal if we had needed to use it just don't expect any privacy. Bathrooms/dressing rooms are not oozing with privacy either. The campground itself is not entirely well-kept but we enjoyed our stay regardless with the beauty of the reservoir and relaxation of the hot springs. Ps, the pools are nothing fancy, either. Cement, a little slimy.

I LOVE this place. So beautiful and peaceful. It would be a fabulous place to go for the weekend for families, friends or couples. They rent out yurts and I believe they also have a cabin they rent out. Haven't actually stayed in one but it looks fun. The hot pools do get a little slimy. It's more "rustic" but I think thats what gives it it's charm.

We arrived at 10am on a weekday, waited around until 10:15, no one ever came to the office. We walked around the hot tubs which were green and not hot, property appears in disrepair and honestly, we wondered if they are out of business. Called several times since, get a pleasant answering message, never a live person. Left a message and they have not called back. Do not drive out of your way to get there! Too bad, as the setting truly is fabulous on Oneida Narrows and could be a gold mine if managed and maintained.

Property is under change of ownership and the new owner is only on site part time. The office was staffed by the previous owners son who showed no interest. The office was poorly lit in disarray quite dirty and on a counter had what appeared to be days old food. The changing room was cold substandard with no place to secure your personal belongings. We were told the pools are drained weekly cleaned and chlorinated. The water was green and chunky with floating algae. Empty, partially full and full alcohol containers littered the areas around the pools as well as other assorted litter. I mentioned this to the office attendant, the only visible staff member, who only shrugged and never left the office. The remainder of the grounds showed neglect. There were two partially completed yurts that appeared to be abandoned. Open ditches construction material litter areas as well as two very old rental junk trailers. Everything needed pick-up, clean-up straighten-up and painting. The unpaved road on the property was very pot holed and in one place if it rained could be very difficult to get through. On the plus side the location is beautiful and somewhat remote with little light pollution that really is attracting. It is a shame that a gem in rough and million dollar property is Being neglected And run into the ground.

Stunning scenery and great hiking areas around this place. Also water sports on the lake as well as soaking in the hot tubs. The perfect weekend getaway for less than $250.
