This pool remains from what was a historic resort. The pool is still nice but it is unfortunate that the surrounding building have not been well maintained. There are not chairs so bring your own. There is a slide and diving board which the kids enjoyed. There were literally hundreds of people enjoying the beautiful day which made it pretty crowded. There are some picnic tables right on the creek but my guess is you would have to be there as the gates open to get one of those. There is also a snack bar and showers. The pool sits at the entrance of Eldorado State park. Make the most of your day and go for a hike, then hit the pool. Only complaint are the pool entry fees which are quite steep ($9 for adults and $6 for kids).
I can't believe that I haven't reviewed my favorite pool yet. Maybe I want to keep it a secret! I have been going to Eldorado pool 1-2 times a summer for about 20 years now. That pales in comparison to how old the pool is. It has been at the mouth of the majestic Eldorado canyon state park for greater than 100 year. The pool is filled with the same spring water that they fill the Eldorado Springs artisian water bottles with. It is cooler than most pools and extremely refreshing after a hot day of climbing or hiking in the park. The water is also refreshed several times a day as it flows out the opposite end of the pool. There is an area to pinic in the grass by the creek, a water slide, and diving board. Nothing fancy, Just good, cool fun in a beautiful setting.
