I live next to this coarse and it is a challenge to ply but has everything. I noticed there are two average but after reading their reviews I could tell they came for below average people. The top four holes 10 through 13 are like no others I have ever seen and the views are breath taking. Treat yourself to an amazing coarse, it's in my top 5 .
This is a beautiful and fun course that offers many pleasant surprises. You'll know what I mean when you drive your cart after the ninth hole and finally reach the 10th hole. As another reviewer said, the course is accessible for mid and high handicappers, but 10-14 can prove interesting for lower handicappers as well. The price is right. The people are very helpful and friendly. And the setting is very memorable. It's a course you'll put on your list for a return trip, I'm almost certain.
We only played 12 holes here, but it was fantastic. The guys in the pro shop were very welcoming and helpful - which was very much appreciated (we were 2 women golfers). It is a great value after 2 p.m. and the fee includes range balls and cart. The views on the course are spectacular and there are large number of tees to play from. We played from the front tees, which were still challenging, but not impossible. I can't wait to play the course again.
This is a true mountain course that challenges your game and is a great deal of fun. Holes 10-14 are spectacular and are part of an overall excellent layout. Since the course has been "softened" it is much more inviting for the mid and high handicapper. Absolutely get out and play this course. You will not regret it. Also, the new restaurant, " The Ironbridge Grill " will feed you great food and beverages at a very reasonable price.
I have played Ironbridge a number of times, never gets old. Three completely different terrains. Getting ready for a mind-blowing trip on holes 10 - 13! Up the canyon, elevated tee boxes, spectacular views, oh yeah, great golf holes!!! Had so much fun! Can't wait to go back!
Folks if you want to play a great course in great shape play Ironbridge Golf Course. The backnine is just sick. The holes is what golf is all about and very hole was manicured and not a blade of grass out of place. I have been playing for 51 years and have played alot of famous courses and great top 100 courses and this one was the best. If you love golf Play Ironbridge
Awesome Golf Course, the quality of the grass is unbelievable, just perfection. 79$ for public includes cart and range. Walking is not an option some of the holes as a lot of distance between them but that is what makes this course awesome. The first 4 holes of the back nine is insane, lots of elevation change and your up in the mountains, crossing canyons and the views is amazing. This course rivals the 150 dollar courses at Breckenridge, Vail and the private Aspen courses. Dont waste your money there, go here if your in the glenwood springs area.
I have never seen anything like this. OMG most beautiful course I have played. Front 9 is so peaceful you play with the river on each hole. On the back it is like a totally different course. Very challenging, but so much fun. The views are breath taking. Course set up and greens are so pure. One of the best mountain courses I have ever played and I have played almost all the mountain courses in Colorado. On the front 9 is where I had my 1st ( Hole In One ) Par 3 Hole # 6 You have to play, do not miss this course.
Awesome course with great views. This is definitely not your typical public course though. Well maintained and challenging. The back 9 like the rest of the reviewers say are beautiful. Have fun and don't get discouraged after losing a lot of your balls. . Oh, the staff at the club house were very nice and courteous.
Beautiful well maintained course. The back nine is definitely a challenge. A little expensive but it includes all the driving range balls you want and the cart.
This course is well maintained and has some views that people from the "flatlands" would consider spectacular, though as a resident of the area I consider the views to be much less than the best in the area. The rates are reasonable and the staff is accommodating. But several of the holes -- especially numbers 10 thru 13 -- are ridiculously difficult and frustrating for typical golfers with handicaps greater than 18 or so. This is exacerbated by a lack of GPS on the carts or even appropriate signage or diagrams of hole layouts indicating distance to obstacles like ravines and bunkers. The course is apparently fine for above average golfers who are familiar with it, but not so for most golfers.
Spectacular views on the back nine as your travel through the canyons to get to the tees boxes. Holes 10-13 are quite challenging and memorable.
I live in Ironbridge, love the course, the condition of the course is top notch and I never get tired of its challanging holes
The back 4 holes are awesome 10-13. Probably the hardest course in the Valley, and the best bargain for pricing. Normally not very crowded and with a grounds crew of 6-7 they do an amazing job keeping the course in shape!
This is a beautiful golf course. The front 9 is lush and weaves through well-kept and lovely homes. The back 9 is mountainous and newer. Shanenae is right....not many amenities. But, it's worth it! It's challenging, but playable, even for this higher-handicap golfer!
