We really enjoyed our ride through the Rockies. The weather wasn't great, but it was still a wonderful ride. It was really pretty and Chris did a great job telling us about the area and the wildlife. We hope to ride again soo.
This horseback riding experience is the best that our family has ever had!! We don't have a lot of experience riding horses, but the friendliness of the employees, the competency of the horses and the cleanliness of the facility made this a perfect day! The trail we took was breathtaking! Our two college age daughters were home for the weekend and this wonderful experience for all of us had us smiling all day!!!
Great trail ride leaders.Billy and Chris. Chris headed our group. Too see the Rocky Mountains is awesome, to experience them on the continental divide horse trail ride is far grander in knowing how mighty and majestic they are. Hope to be back sometime with family to meet the people and experience the continental divide horse trail ride.
We had a pleasant experience for our first-time trail riding. The horses were well-behaved and gave us a great experience. The hospitality of the staff was excellent. We will definitely return next year!
The trail guide and wranglers were very helpful. The ride itself was amazing! Make sure you bring snacks and plenty of water. Also be prepared to be sore after a long days trail ride.
The views were spectacular and I was impressed with the health of the horses. I will definitely do this ride again.
This is an awesome place to visit. The people here are living the dream. They take care of their horses and run a fine business on the side while doing it. We were not all horse people, so we only went for a two hour trip. I recommend keeping the trip to two hours if you are a beginner. However, I rode horses when I was younger and I can tell that these horses are well cared for and well trained. I would highly recommend taking a longer ride for experienced riders. They have a ten hour trip that goes over the mountains. I'm sure it would be a great experience.
This was the best horse back ride we have been on. It is a long ride (ten hours) but it is so worth it. You can experience the mountains where most people would not go on foot. It was a great ride. The horses are well fed and well behaved. I will definitely do this again.
First, a family runs this stable and they are quite warm and welcoming. I did not initially realize that the nice people helping us were not seasonal hires but the owner and his son! They were so kind that they even helped us plan our hikes for the rest of our trip. The ride was heavenly. My wife and I went on a three hour ride and our horses, Sonny and Cher, were incredibly sweet while still being talented enough to take us on steep trails. There is no better way to see the Rockies. Jessica was a phenomenal guide--friendly, informative and adventurous. She really made it a special experience for everyone on the ride.During the 7-9 mile ride, we saw some of the most captivating vistas, while learning a great deal about the park, stables, horses, wildlife, history and future of Rocky Mountain National Park. Basically, from the moment we mounted up, the entire trip was beautiful. The family and business impressed us, and we definitely recommend the 3 hour trip at Glacier Creek (the 2 hour trip is too much of a tease).
Our two hour ride was great with our guide Billy! It offered a challenging climb and beautiful views! The only negative was the lady at the front desk. She was rude with helmet selection and fitting! We were all first time riders and Billy was very patient and helpful.
We enjoyed an afternoon horse ride here... the horses all looked very healthy and were easy to ride. The guide Antonio was great - he kept checking on us to make sure our saddles were on properly and stopped regularly to make sure we were okay. We rode around Sprague Lake and got some great views of the peaceful lake and forest. The staff was very helpful, friendly and it was a joy to see how much they cared for their horses. Wonderful time!
Had the best ride ever here! The horses were well trained and very sure footed on the rocky mountain slopes. I was very very impressed with the ranch itself and everyone there was extremely friendly. Our wranglers name was Chris and even though he had only been working there for a short while he knew all the trails and was very imformative! The views on the ride were spectacular! We climbed all the way to the top of Flattop mountain on an 8 hour ride and it was both challenging and adventurous! On our way back down from the mountain a storm had rolled in and it began to lightining and hail. Our guide quickly and safely helped us to decend on our horses and we made it safely back into the treeline. While most would have felt scared we were the oppisite and found it rather exciting to be riding on the mountain in a hail storm! It was very much appreciated that we were give rain jackets and the guide could not have done any better getting us to safetly. After awhile the storm let up and by that time we were nearly off the mountain. Very pleased with the views on this ride as well! Spectacular mountain views and a beautiful tundra. I will definatley be riding with this company again! Very very impressed with the entire place. Highly reccommend for anyone looking for adventure in Colorado!
We booked a three hour ride for our family of five. Most places you go to make you join a large group of people you don't know. Not this place. We had the trail and our own personal guide, Bryan. He was great with the kids and very knowledgable. My daughters horse kept trying to snack on the trail and Bryan was very patient helping her wrangle the horse back on track. My husbands horse, Wesson, was built like a brick house and he said,"the rides as smooth as a Cadillac!" Lol. I was given Abraham Hightower and he lives up to his name. He's probably 16-17 hands tall. Great horse if you don't mind heights. All of the horses appeared well taken care of. The trail was beautiful and crosses over two mountains. Loved it. The guides don't make a lot from the company so if you have a great guide like Bryan, tip them well. They earned it.
We had a great time riding in the park. It was so quiet and peaceful with an easy pace and beautiful scenery. Our guide, Bryan did a great job helping out kids with their horses and answering all our questions. The horses looked well cared for and seemed to enjoy the hike too. The two hour is a great value and the perfect length for kids
I am 9years old and this was the best 10th birthday present EVER!!!!!! The 3 hour ride was better than the 2 hour ride in my opinion! Everybody was very nice and the scenery was beautiful and I will definitely go again!
