We are happy to find a TripAdvisor listing for Mace Chasm Farm, as we've wanted to let people know about our visit(s) ever since we first discovered this lovely working (hard working) farm two years ago. It feels as though Keeseville must be the hub of a vibrant locavore economy. There is youthful energy combined with impressive expertise at work in this community. Mace Chasm Farm, where we went, produces delicious grass-fed beef, lamb and pork, free-range chickens and eggs. We took home with us a cooler filled with their frozen meats. Our favorite specialties were the bacon burger, chorizo and merguez sausages prepared in the farm's own state-of-the-art butcher shop. And from the retail shop we could look out over the fields to see chickens, sheep, pigs and beef freely roaming their respective domains. The surrounding countryside is beautiful,too, and prolific. Just down the road in either direction you can find fresh dairy products and bakery goods, artisanal beers, and a farm with acres of garden produce.
