The Beach is beautiful. It is a County Beach so it is open to the public. Parking fee per car load is $12 for non residents and $8 for those who have green key cards (Suffolk County Residents). cold Outside Showers and bathrooms are adequate. They do have lifeguards at this beach as well. the Fee is for parking only. there are multiple free access sites along Dune Road if someone is dropping you off and picking you up at the beach. Bring your towel, some sunscreen a beach chair, a cooler and umbrella and you can spend the day.
This was the best kept secret on Long Island; a beautiful uncrowded beach with a fun beach hut with tropical drinks and live music, at the end of beautiful Dune Road. With camping and a 4 wheel drive beach, and parking close to the beach. Remains to be seen what will happen since the Beach Hut burned down at the end of last season. It would be a shame if it didn't reopen
The beach is beautiful and clean.Has a really good concession stand. Home to the Beach Hut which has live music every night. Nice long boardwalk. Parking is close to the beach. Would be nice if they had indoor showers thats really only my one complaint. You can walk to the Great south bay which is also nice to swim in. They also have camping sites, however I suggest you book 6 months in advance to secure a spot.
On September 13, 2014, a fire destroyed the Beach Hut and boardwalk area to the beach. Beach is closed indefinite. One of my favorite beaches will need to rebuild before it could reopen. Hopefully before next season.
There is nothing like a drive on Dune Road enjoying all the beautiful homes and then you get to a beautiful beach where everyone is enjoying the view, the music and the fun!Of course - gotta get there early!! But well worth it! Have breakfast either on the beach or in town!Beautiful sand! Fun deck! Great music! Fun, beach food!!
Finally received my Green Key Pass after my brother told me to get one. Went with my family visiting from out of state. Sat on the beach a few hours, then sat at a table on boardwalk and had the fish and chips. Food was great for beach food. They have a different band play from 5-9pm. Some 2fer drinks. Such a great night to spend with the family without breaking the bank. Weekends are packed. Go early to get parking spot, once lot is full, your out of luck.
We visited Cusogue on a cloudy day. Did some walking on the beautiful beach. Will be back to see the live music.
From the outset the beautiful place we chose to stay started everything off on the right foot. The Seatuck Cobe B&B is a must if you want to visit the Hamptons or see the best of L.I.
The most beautiful day at the beach ever. The perfect temperature between being in the shade of the umbrella and the full sun. There was music - good music all day. This was a Saturday and it was the place to be. The concession was great including all kinds of seafood. The parking fee was well worth it - a full day at the beach!
White sand, not crowded, outdoor and indoor showers and changing rooms, good food at the snack bar, reasonable admission
Our friends told us about Cupsogue and it is really a great beach! If you have a 4 wheel drive truck, you can buy a season pass and drive literally right up on the beach, which makes loading and unloading really easy. The beach is not very crowded, very clean and you can even bring a gas grill and grill on the beach. Only downside is that the traffic getting in and out of Westhampton on Dune Road is very slow.
didn't get to go onto the beach but it looked great and so i intend to go back, there is a charge to get in but, hopefully, there are food services and other amenities to spend the day there.
Sure it can get crowded but it is family friendly and has evening entertainment and good food. Try to go during the week.
After a very long closure due to a breach in the barrier island at Cupsogue after Sandy, and the piping plovers are now gone, you can 4x4 all the way back out to the inlet again. This is great, but the sand is very, very loose. But, pristine white and clean, Sandy made it beautiful again. I guess a silver lining, blessing in disguise...
This is a really nice beach. The area does not have liter and the water can be warm. However, be careful when you drive along Dune Road. The speed limit is 30 mph and strictly enforces. The police are out almost every weekend writing speeding tickets. Also there are many bikers and joggers on Dune Road so you need to drive slow.
