We drove through the free holiday lights display after seeing the falls and having dinner. It was a nice way to end a family holiday outing. Thanks to United Way for sponsoring this free display. It was very nice. Have never been to Hyde Park before and it was dark so I don't know what the rest of the park is like but I hope to check it out next time I am in Niagara Falls.
Construction will be completed soon of infrastructure around Falls and Parks -- Found Park well kept and pleasant walk.
i go to this park with my dog all the time ...been going there sine i was kid that have added alot of new things there and they keep it clean duck island there is nice also
I wanted somewhere to go for a run from Niagara Falls Blvd. so thought this would be ideal as it was only about 3 miles run away. Got there (threw a bit of a dodgy area) only to be disappointed. Most of it is taken up with a golf course. I wouldn't go back.
What a great way to unwind & take in some beautiful views this walk takes you around the world by meeting others from every part of the world..it simply amazing who you may see strolling through.
The Christmas Lights Festival is very beautiful and fulfills the park from one end to the other. Its a drive through with many themes and models. The kids loved it just to look at the different type of displays and lights.
it's a cut even below minor leagues, but the niagara power, playing summers, bring a professional atmosphere and amateur's love to games in sal maglie stadium, on the fringe of the park, looking out beautifully over hyde park lake... frequent flyovers add to the fun and the food, hamburg, hot dogs, et al, are so appealing that frequently they run out by the seventh inning... a family of four can legitimately have every baseball experience possible here for a grand total of $20... watch the seats next to the pressbox, they have obstructed view, and try to park car well out of the way of foul balls..
The park is lovely, even in winter. The scenery is breathtaking and in the summer at night it is a very romantic place to stroll with someone special.
Niagara Falls has MANY beautiful parks!! This is not one of them. It's right on the outskirts of the shadiest part of the city and it's just not a good place to be hanging out. If you want a nice place to relax, try the actual Niagara Falls Park, Devils Hole State Park, Art Park in Lewiston (very close by) , Fishermans Park in North Tonawanda, or any park on River Road. :)
swimming in the summer, canoeing too. cannot beat the area for a walk or bike ride.
The playground is covered in trash. The plastic slides are broken. A metal motorcycle toy is busted (and very sharp). The play area has very little sand left, and none has been added in years. Anytime it rains, the play area becomes a pond. It is a reflection of the city... neglected. You are better off in Canada less than 5 miles away.
Niagara Falls is broke and this is a fairly nice park for a town that's broke, duck ponds etc. . .not too many seats to enjoy the view, bring your own!
