cascade park

This is an old park with a tiered waterfall that ends in a pool with a fountain in the middle. At night colored lights illuminate the fountain and the falls are lit. It's a quiet park great for a picnic. Walking trails branch off the top of the hill....

Cascade Park has been a part of every Bangorian's life at one point or another! It is a great place to stop, stretch your legs, and enjoy a lunch break as you travel through!

I passed through this park a couple times, but didn't have a chance to come in. One day, we decided to go in the fall as winter would come soon. It's worth. What a beautiful and peaceful place! It is not too far Bangor downtown either by driving, riding or even walking. I love Bangor, Maine and will come back in the future.

This park was very pretty and well maintained. The day we were there it was very full of people enjoying the nice weather. It is a very nice and relaxing place!

Stopped here to wander and reminisce about being here some 40 years ago. City maintains this oasis very well, especially considering harsh weather environment.

Nice place to take family . large fountain in the middle , clean a few small trails to walk . great place for wedding , picnic

We stopped here briefly on our way to Mount Hope Garden Cemetery, just down the road. I suspect families would enjoy this large park for a Sunday afternoon picnic. Not much to admire other than what the other reviews have advised. I would not make this a destination (unless you want a great place for a picnic in Bangor); however, combine it with an historical walk at Mount Hope Cemetery and you have a worthwhile day.

I've been visiting this park since I was little and now take my family there. Always clean and beautiful.

Such a pretty park in which to walk and take photos. Bring a picnic and watch the water fall! Photographers take note: Across the street is pretty too!

The is a very nice park, It has a few benches so you can absorb the surroundings. Nice water fountain, gazebo, a short walking trail. The last two times my wife and I watched two drug deals going on. One person shooting up. You need to be cautious as the druggies are watching you. Any valuables I would lock up in your trunk of your car. This was during the week around 1pm. It is really too bad as it is a nice park.

Loved the waterfalls and the tranquility of it all. Very hard to believe that is right in the heart of Bangor.

Just a nice place to relax, enjoy the fountain and have a picnic!! The wife and I do exactly that quite often and always seems to be cool there also!!

I had been here for the first time today and it was beautiful walking around the whole place and it is nice watching squirrels and baby squirrels running around but be careful cuz sometimes they do jump out at u lol..I can't wait to go back again

Besides being located right on a busy road; its a beautiful little park. There are some small trails that lead to a peaceful field which is nice to relax and read in. The waterfall and fountain arent running yet...but ive never seen them running :(

Aside from the fountain, a big yard, and a few benches, there really isn't much there. Kind of boring for little ones, but great for a relaxing picnic.
