Most of the trees in the cemetery are labeled and it is a great educational tool. The cemetery is always neat and sits atop a hill in Frankfort and you can see the Capitol building and the Kentucky River from there - great views!

What should be a historic and revered area of Frankfort sits derelict and neglected. Site of a memorial to the blacks that fought in the Civil War, this cemetery is surrounded by a broken down, rusting chain link fence that's been cut in many places and lies next to low income housing projects. Many grave stones are knocked over by careless lawn mower operators. An unfortunat
