We went to Lazer Blaze in Louisville on a Saturday afternoon. It was completely packed, especially with a lot of older kids (teens), which was pretty overwhelming for my elementary-school aged boys.We had to wait in a long line just to buy attraction tickets - there was only one worker/cash register. There was a 90+ minute wait for a laser tag time. We did the indoor glow-in-the-dark miniature golf, which is 9 holes, so didn't take long. The bumper cars were fun - they are the round kind that move forward, backward and spin left or spin right. The bumper car area is inside the cafe. The laser tag arena was quite large - it seemed bigger than other laser tag arenas I've been to in other cities. There are a lot of players, too. You pick one of three teams - red, blue or green. I think there are 10-15 players per team. They are very good at making several loud announcements over the speaker system when it's your turn for laser tag. Each time slot has a group name (e.g. Omega) and they call out that group name when it's time to come to the arena doors. The worker who gave us our instructions before entering the laser tag arena rattled off her talking points so fast that I had a really hard time understanding her, and I'm sure my two young boys didn't understand half of what she said. The arcade is a basic arcade. There are machines that give you tokens after you put in cash. Then there are machines to turn in your tickets and get a receipt to take to the prize counters. As with other arcades, the prizes are mostly cheap junk toys.In all, this was a decent place to spend a bit of a Saturday afternoon on a cold day. I would probably want to go back at an off-peak time (whenever that may be) because it was just too crowded for us.
This place is a rip off. They steal your money on the games because they don't work right and then they don't have anything for the kids to buy for one point so there's more money they steal. the manager was very unfriendly and didn't care that there was problems with the games.
We live in Illinois, my mom lives in Alabama; Louisville is a nice half-way, so we meet here for my birthday, sometimes more, every year. Our trips usually center around the fantastic Lazer Blaze. We have a blast playing multiple games. I've been to a good many lazer tag places, and this is certainly one of the best.
My kids had gone with some friends and I honestly was just there to pick them up after running some errands. I went inside to get them and was instantly drawn into the high energy atmosphere. Although I didn't participate in laser tag I was able to watch their last game from the "Observation Deck" and it looked like fun. I couldn't resist trying a few game machines. They were all in excellent condition. The place was very clean and well maintained. The staff I talked to were all courteous. My recommendation if you drop off your kids is to come back a little early and have a little fun yourself!
Great lazer tag with a really fun arena.. lots of sneaky hiding places. I've been coming here since elementary school and still love it.
We have been going to Lazer Blaze for three years now and our sons love it! It is great for our older boys (college age) and our younger son (5th grade). Parents love it, too!! The staff are always courteous and the facility is clean---even the restrooms!! I definitely recommend Lazer Blaze for an entertaining evening!!
