Very very nice! We didn't actually tour the museum but the gift shop was very nice and the young lady there was very helpful!
Shows great displays of tools, dress and pictures from the Native Americans in the area. We really liked staging of the different areas.
We visited the Ninepipe museum while staying at the Cheff Family Guest Ranch. Their family was instrumental in starting the museum and many of the artifacts belong to this family. The museum looks small from the outside but is actually quite large with lots and lots of pictures and guns and bows and history of the Flathead Indians of the area. The last room, as previously mentioned, is worth the stop itself. There is so much information on the settlers from over a hundred years ago. Don't pass this by on your way from Missoula to Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. The Museum is right south of Ronan which is also where the National Bison Range Park is located. Another must see. The museum is only 5dollars for adults and 4dollars for seniors.
This beautiful little museum is surrounded by majestic mountains, with ponds and forests nearby. The final hall, full of preserved wildlife, is jaw-dropping. It is on Native American land, with many fine old photos of Salish & Kootenai families and their friends, early Montana settlers of European origin. Gorgeous native costumes, great paintings and artifacts. Execellent experience for everyone, from small children to grandparents. Walk around the nature trail outside to see birds, butterflies and spectacular views of the Rockies.
