Brew Pubs and Distilleries are very popular in Montana. Within 30 miles of Bozeman there are 7 Brew Pubs, 4 distilleries and a cider house. Katabatic in Livingston, MT is among the newest of all. They remodeled a very old building across from the historic Train Depot Museum. The place has amazing furnishings and atmosphere. Reminds me of an Irish pub where the whole family comes down in the late afternoon, including the family puppy. A real community atmosphere and great beer. They always have seasonal beers and of course their regulars. I highly recommend the Scotch Ale, is is a full flavored brew, but real easy to drink for a darker beer. Also, on the lighter side they have a full flavored Heff, which is almost too easy to drink.
