This is a really neat, historical place that everyone should check out. The shows aren't really anything to dance about, like, no one worth a dang every comes here, but it is a cool place nonetheless.

By happenstance we found the theatre doors open on a Monday morning and were given a brief tour of the building. We even got to hear and play the theatre pipe organ. What a beautiful building!

A dowager from another age, the restored Keith Albee is a civic jewel for Huntington. She was subdivided into a 4-plex movie house, when wiser heads found the way to restore her back to her Egyptianate glory (the restoration continues-come and see her ceiling). A lovely venue for Broadway shows, the Marshall Artists Series, music and any other type of entertainment. If you're in town when something is going on at the Keith Albee, go!

The Keith Albee was built in 1928 by the Hyman family for $2 million. Originally it seated over 3000 and has been restored to nearly its original size seating over 2000. The interior is breathtaking. At the time it was built, the Keith Albee was the second largest theater in the United States after the Roxy in New York City. The Keith Albee has been the site of the world premier of at least two movies: "Rain Man" and "We Are Marshall". It is also the venue where numerous well-known performers visit the Tri-State area. Even if there is not a performance scheduled during your visit to Huntington, try to work in a visit to the Keith Albee and see the inside of the theater.

This theatre is truly old craftsmanship that you don't find often anymore. Many events/shows are held here. Worth a visit just to see the venue.

Beautiful place, the seats are smaller then what you are accustomed to in a movie theater, built probably 30s or 40s , great venue to see plays, concerts, was once a movie theater . If you have a chance to go, do it. Nice place

This is a phenomenal venue for music, stand-up, and plays. It's romantic and glamorous. My favorite part about it is the gorgeous detail every where you look in the theater. Huntington is lucky to have been able to keep such a wonderful asset like this in such good shape.

Huntington is nestled between two beautiful ridges on the mighty Ohio River. The majestic Keith-Albee Theatre is now owned by prestigious Marshall University. Designed by Thomas Lamb prior to the Great Depression and sister theatre to the now restored Boston Opera House is one of America's great performing arts venues. Huntington has a wonderful arts museum, an elaborate park system, and many grand homes in the Ritter Park area of town. Huntington is the largest bitumonous coal port in the world and home to many famous actors, actresses, sports figures and politicians. The Keith-Albee Theatre is purported to hold many secrets and has hosted many famous stars and events since its completion. I would recommend staying at either the Holiday Inn Civic Center or the Pullman Hotel both of which are in walking distance of many charming places in downtown Huntington. PS The people of Huntington are most helpful!

Love it! Old downtown vaudeville theater undergoing a face lift. Interior looks like an Italian villa with lights in the ceiling like stars. Traveling shows and the occasional Huntington Symphony Orchestra concert.
