Great place to visit and have a wonderful evening out. The buffet is excellent and very affordable. We had a Buy one, get one free coupon, so that always helps!

Love it had a great time there the drinks and fun with the games most of the buffet was nice price for two and the food was great

Hotel was clean and quiet but dissapointed in casino. Smokey although there was an area for non smokers. I feel machines were not paying out like they should even when you won. But good place for a weekend getaway since closest city would be Pittsburgh.

The whole atmosphere is terrific if you like the gaming scene. The place is immaculate and the rooms are great and there are a nice variety of restaurants that would fit anyone food needs. Lots of atmophere and excitementc

Our group stayed over night and the rooms were clean and comfortable but had a clogged drain that did not get repaired while we were there. The casino and hotel proper was neat and clean. The casino had a good selection of slot machines. The staff was courteous and friendly

Still has many 25 cent one line 3 wheel slot machines. Buffet was good. Casino has non-smoking area.

Always enjoy a trip to Wheeling Island Casino! You can spend the day, have a great time, and still go home with some money in your pocket. Wish it were closer to home.

although no $ was won..had a fun day at the tracks. While walking through the casino - I do miss the sound of coins coming out of the machines. Think it made you want to give the machines a try when you would hear that instead of getting a voucher.

We go to the Downs once in a while when in the area. We always seem to win at something. We learned to play a new game the last time we were there and walked away with some cash. The dealer was very friendly. The only problem is the smoking. They do have an area of no smoking but you need to go through smoking. We went for New Years and had a good time. Buffet was included in the price of ticket with champane and noise makers at midnight. We could not stay there though because it was booked.

I go to wheeling Island 2 or 3 times a month. My wife and me always enjoy our selves. The food is good and the rooms are nice ( sometimes we stay over night). the breakfast buffet is not as big as Vegas, but it is still very good.

oh wow it would take this whole page and more i go there to dance i follow bands they play on weds fri and sat but i also go alot to the buffets and shows and play some slots. i know most of the workers there security head charles i get hugs everytime i go in. josh allen james richard and alot more security floor workers jacquie anita mark kathy gabby tara jean sabrina so many more to list. my bartender erick my main floor slot guy tom just love him get my hugs from him also . this is a family casino they know you by name they have great shows great slots food bars. you meet so many nice people . i am treated so good when i go there . hotel is great i have also stayed there . they have buses that come in from pitts and clev. i have met friends from these bus tours also we welcome anyone who wants to come to the waves bar and dance with us we have a huge group that goes there every week . free pop coffee water ice tea you only buy drinks . no charge for the bands . check their site to find out events going on . first time there you get free 20.00 to play on come see us i will be on the dance floor

Nice, attractive decor. Not too smoky. A nice selection of games. An okay small casino. Just make sure to skip the buffet!

When we arrived early to Wheeling, we couldn't check in to our room at the Oglebay Lodge till later in the afternoon so we went to the casino at Wheeling Island.We went straight to the players help desk where they were very kind. They called a gentleman to show us around the floor and instruct us on how to use our free $20 slot card.My husband and I played several hours on their money and he even walked away a winner.They have a nice lunch counter, a place to watch TV, a bar area, every thing is clean and folks are pleasant.

Nice casino when all is open. They have all the table games and plenty of popular slot machines. From day to day it can be packed or hardly anyone on the table games. Certain games such as craps does not open until 11:00 a.m. and some days it is only half the table that is open, which is odd. Most evenings there will be only one of the two crap tables open no matter how many people are standing around. They do have a nice no smoking room for slot machines.
