Box has nice size, modern amenities and great team and loud hungry fans who are use to seeing a winner.Prices on resale market can be outrageous but you are getting a great SEC schedule.Although I prefer the environment of Mississippi State's Park with the crazies lined up from foul line to foul line these are clearly the two best in the country from venues I have seen.
We were fortunate to be able to purchase green grandstand tickets on the LSU website from a season ticket holder unable to attend. This venue is the tops! Great concession area in the concourses. Clean restrooms. Great views of the playing field!
I grew up going to the old Alex Box Stadium and was a little sad leaving it behind, but I have to say the new version is an instant classic. The crowd is always into the game cheering on the team and it's always a great time whether you go with friends or not - you'll make some there anyway with the fellow fans...unless you're on the opposing team perhaps! The new stadium is large and very impressive with seating for just over 10,000. Students of course get in free and we only paid $10.00 for another non-student ticket. I love being at a baseball stadium and the atmosphere here is amazing. There is plenty of free parking next to and across the street from the stadium and I've never had an issue getting into or out of the stadium. Sometimes traffic can be pretty bad, but not impossible. Like some have said, the food could be a little better. I say it's college baseball stadium food and isn't going to be knock you out of the park good - but yea, it could be improved upon slightly. If you love baseball, you'll love coming here and enjoying a game with friends and family.
We actually haven't been to a LSU game but our two grandsons have been to the LSU baseball camp for the last three years and we have spent a couple hours a day for a week there. The stadium is located with plenty of parking. There is plenty of aisle space and open areas. Seating is comfortable and well shaded in most areas. The view of Tiger Stadium is impressive. I would also recommend the Baseball Camp to anyone with a kid or grandkid with an interest in baseball.
ALEX Box is the recently baseball stadium for LSU,, nice stadium, great parking, walking distance to LSU Tiger stadium and Mike habitat. I visited all of them in one day!
LSU has a successful track record of college athletics. Baseball is no exception. In fact, it's closer to the rule. LSU Baseball, under the instruction of past great Skip Bertman and current great Paul Mainieri, is one of the most successful baseball programs in collegiate history. This success is propelled by one of the most dedicated and loyal fan bases in the country; continually breaking their own previous records for collegiate baseball attendance. The atmosphere is just as electrifying as their bigger brother LSU Football. It also shares the high level of recruited talent that makes each game that much more fun to watch. If you're in Baton Rouge in the spring, make a point to catch a game. You won't regret it.
LSU Tiger Baseball has been playing in their new stadium for the past 4 seasons. Relocated in Feb. 2009, the new stadium now accommodates ~ 10,000 fans. Tradition of a nationally ranked baseball team continues since 1938. Geaux Tigers!
Alex Box is amazing. The sunsets are truly spectacular. There is NO place like it for baseball. It is a field of dreams!
Lsu's Alex Box Stadium is simply the best college baseball venue in America. LSU has led the nation in baseball attendance for many years and the stadium is gorgeous. I recommend the Box to any baseball fan. Bring the kids as it's a great family atmosphere.
The new stadium rivals minor league teams. The way the stadium is set, there is not a bad seat in the house. Even the handicap seating is plentiful and good. I can't say that for very many sporting stadiums. Defiantly a must to see a game in!
No finer venue, for fans and players. Great place to watch GREAT baseball. LSU fans are some of the best in the country and the class of baseball you'll experience is tremendous.
My son played a baseball tourney here and it was awesome!! Good experience as he is now a Junior in High School and plays high school baseball. Getting pumped about applying for colleges and playing college baseball!!
Great stadium and you can never go wrong with a chance to watch the Tigers play baseball! The stadium is clean & concessions are abundant & varied... Plenty of t-shirt vendors and clean bathrooms!
6 National Championships in the last 20 years and # 1 in College Baseball Attendance every year. Nearly 12,000 a game. One of, if not the BEST, College Baseball atmosphere around. Bring the family, the kids will love to see this stadium and LSU baseball, if you can get a ticket :-).
State of the art College Baseball Facility with many amenities and great views of the field from anywhere in the park. Also has a great display area where baseball trophies and awards can be viewed.
