alabama national cemetery

I have seen pictures of National Cemeteries at Christmastime, but so glad we could visit one at this special time of year to see a wreath placed at every grave. It is a beautiful.

Alabama National Cemetery was dedicated in 2008 and the first burials were in June 2009. It is the third national cemetery in Alabama. My husband and I were in the area and wanted to stop by and pay our respects. Even though it is a new cemetery, it is still an impressive site to see the headstones laid out in military precision. The cemetery is located next to American Village Citizen Trust in Montevallo.
