Cool place, chilling for a movie and a drink, inexpensive, relax atmosphere, old looking, and neat at the same time. ...any time is a good time to enjoy
This place is only $5 to get in. Seats will be renovated soon, but in the meantime, you can grab a cushion to help you make it more comfortable. It has such a nice hometown welcoming vibe. I can't help but keep going back. The popcorn is the best.
This is a great old one screen cinema in the center of Millbury, MA. What is doesn't have in flash factor in makes up for with just sheer old character. They have not made a lot of modern improvements however you can not beat this place for value and friendliness. The owner, Jimmy personal makes everyone feel right at home with a friendly smile and great service. He has a snack bar at the back of the theater that has some small bites, candy, beer, wine and soda. The prices are generously low (2 tickets and 2 beers was $20.). Drive right by the megaplex at the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley and spend your dollars locally.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonable prices make this the best venue for a fun, inexpensive evening. See the Pats and Sox on the big screen while enjoying pizza and the best popcorn around.
Cheap date night. My husband and I both go for under $30, where else can you go to dinner and a movie that's recently run for that kind of money! Plus owner's a really cool guy who's always got something funny to say. They do still show Pat's games during the season and have a comedy nite once a month. Would recommend you grab a chair cushion, the chairs are old and low to the ground. Must have made shorter people back in the day!
This is a great place to catch a second run movie and grab a burger, pizza and popcorn at a bargain. I found it to be clean, the seats are roomy and you have a place to put your food while you watch the movie. It kind of brings you back to "old time" movie houses. Even though the movies aren't the super new releases they are usually something pretty new and worth watching and before they are released on DVD. You can also grab a pitcher of beer or wine if you like. I would say that it is a good place to bring a date or just to have some fun.
We go nearly every week. Sure, some of the seats are tired, but they have loose chair cushions to adapt. The popcorn is great, and cheap. $3 for a large, not like the regular theaters where they want 2 or 3 times as much. Candy for a dollar, beer by the pitcher, wine, burgers, and our usual personal size pizza. It's the perfect place to see that movie you missed at the big theaters, and only $5 per to get in. They've upgraded the audio, and the screen is fine. They even show the Pat's games, no admission, as well as have comedy nights. If this almost sounds like an ad, it's not. We've been going there for Friday night *date night* for years, and the place is a local institution. Do yourself a favor, and try them out.
Missed that recent movie? Catch it at the Elm Draught house. Grab a hotdog or burger, lots of popcorn, and you'se set. Seats have a little table for your food. Movies are reduced price. Good bargain.
Well, it's got only movie food, with a bit more..pizza etc. the fun part was that you could have wine and watch a movie...don't know if that's the same anymore since I have gone there in a decade. Prices for movie where SOOO low because the movies were all current..but, they were still really good up to date ones.!! Nice place for young couples to have a date night!! (NOT FANCY)
Get there early to find a seat without holes. Discount movies just before DVD release. Inexpensive food & pitchers of beer.
Where else can you go and watch a movie for $5 per person? Great small town theatre, with little tables by the seats and a small bar in the back. Highly recommend.
