Salisbury Beach is a 3.5 mile long, sandy beach. It is anchored by the Salisbury State Reservation. The Reservation has bathrooms and a campground. This is an ocean beach with beautiful rolling waves and a great space for swimming and sunbathing. Try to go there at low tide when there is plenty of beach. It is staffed by lifeguards. The water is clean and inviting and the price to park is very reasonable at about $10-15 per day.

Salisbury Beach is one of the best kept secrets ever. It never gets written up as one of the best beaches in Massachusetts. But it is. There are atleast 5 miles of beach, great for walking, pizza and clam stands if you choose, but there are also several very wonderful restaurants; Seaglass and Capri Grille.

Willey's candy & ice cream store in business approx.75 yrs. top quality. There is not an awful lot to do in the way of shopping or dining at the beach need to go into the town a bit.

The seashore/beach itself is a way under rated beach. Long and beautiful and clean. If you enter the beach from the amusement park center, it may be more congested but you will have access to easy parking, rest rooms and old fashion food stands, arcades and shops.. Find an way in heading north a bit, and you will have a more relaxing shoreline.

Great new restaurants at the Pavillion, summer entertainment, pizza, fried dough, ice cream and fireworks in the center, as well as discount shops for all your beach needs.

Watching the sunrise every morning on Salisbury beach is spectacular!! The water is Crystal clear, dogs are permitted on the private beach. The restaurants are fabulous and within walking distance from the beach houses. Fire pits allowed in the sand inside the fences. Steam crabs and lobsters outside your deck. Didn't get any better..

Beautiful long beach. It has a great past but needs improvements. The improvements are coming--new bathrooms will be built right next to the beach, storefront improvement is coming, a new police station will be built. It's a gorgeous beach for walking and swimming or just wading or sunning. There are a few good places to eat like SeaGlass and SurfSide which both sit out over the water. Then there are walk up places for things like ice cream and pizza and fudge. Warning: for the walk up places you need CASH, not a card. One thing--the weather here is often really nice and sunny when it's rainy or cloudy in other places. Don't always believe the weather reports that say cloudy or rain--it's often beautiful at Salisbury Beach. (don't miss the free Saturday night fireworks over the ocean.)

Unfortunately the glory days of this beach are gone. It's rundown. Saw boarded up storefronts, houses and apartment buildings. The so - called "comfort station" public restrooms are disgusting, dirty, plugged sinks and a stench that could kill an elephant. I found no comfort in the " comfort station". This place needs the Commonwealth of Mass. To come in and spend some money on revitalizing this gem of the past. If you go up the road to Hampton Beach NH it's a different world and run the right way. It's a shame and a waste.

The sea is my most favorite place in the world to be. Salisbury Beach became one of my favorite destinations for family fun and, just as easily, my place of solitude. The beach on the non-reservation side boasts little summer condos, cottages and an overall feeling of welcome and freedom. The sand is rather fine and the beach is usually very clean. It is a carry on and carry off beach-we bring a cooler with beverages, cheese, deli meats, salads, etc. The water tends to be on the cooler side, but it is hard to resist once you get in. The beach is frequented by locals and people of all ages/demographics. It is very family friendly, my children have mingled easily and safely with other children. It is also just as accommodating to couples, singles and groups. I've never had difficulty finding good spots to lay/sit and there is plenty of room to play football or volleyball... build sandcastle or just wall along the shore and collect shells. There is metered parking which is far cheaper than some of the parking lots. There is a boardwalkthat includes several pizza shops, bars and novelty shops. There is a pretty cool go kart track and love music is features on various days/evenings throughout the summer. There is an arcade, Joe's Pearland, that has 2 levels and also sells homemade fudge, saltwatertaffy, soft serve ice cream and slushies amongst other treats. The views are lovely, especially at sunset. Make your way to Salisbury and leaverefrwshed and renewed.

Where to start? We are from out of state and found this beach seriously lacking. First there was a 15-20 min wait just to get into the park. When we paid the $15 out of state fee we really expected this to be a nice place. There is plenty of parking and a lot of access to the beach areas. There is a little inlet that is better for smaller kids who wouldn't be able to deal with the strong waves and current on the ocean side. They also have a fairly large playground. They do have toilets and water to wash hands. But these are the end of my positive comments. The beach was fairly crowded. The sand was incredibly hot. I'm not just being a pansy here. My husband burned his feet from walking without shoes on. The one good part about the hot sand is that you can warm up your feet when they are close to hypothermic from the freezing cold water. All of this could have been ignored as just circumstance if it wasn't for the lack of facilities. I was not impressed with the bathrooms as far as cleanliness. At least they did have soap to wash hands. And it wasn't smelly. There is absolutely nowhere to rinse your feet after coming out of the sand and no shower facilities. Maybe I'm just spoiled because we come from a place where these things are standard. Overall, if you're desperate for some beach time, this place will suffice. Otherwise, save up and head somewhere else.

I was taken here by a good friend this past weekend. I had never been to this beach, and was really surprised just how nice it was. There was plenty of parking ($9) and a pretty easy walk to the beach itself. We camped out near the jetties so we could see the ocean side, and all the boats coming in. This is a great little stretch of beach. It was a Saturday, and 75-80 degrees, so the beach had plenty of people, but it didn't seem like the mos scene up in Hampton. The sand is great, the beach seems to stretch for at least a mile or two. As like most New England beaches, the ocean is bone chilling cold, but the water is clear and quite nice. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this spot, and I'm looking forward to going back.

This beach is cute it's nothing spectacular but the water is beautiful. Came here on a Sunday it was crowded but not bad for 2pm. I will definitely come back and spend more time on the beach instead of walking around.

dIt is not the Salisbury beach of yesteryear. It could be a lot cleaner and the opportunities to make it so much better have not been used. Business after business has closed down. It is a very sad place but still a beach is a beach and that is the best part.

I practically live here and it's such a comfortable, friendly beach. The views are lovely and it's monitored by state police so it's safe. You'll see police ride their horses along the beach. The fireworks in the summer are great. Not too over-crowded.
